MEND Margaret River — Local services in Margaret River

I was really looking forward to try this place out, but overall the experience was underwhelming. We booked a private session with sauna, ice bath and spa. It wasn't cheap, so our expectations were reasonably high. After the first cycle of shower, sauna and ice bath, we were relaxing in the spa tub, and I notice some black things floating around my feet. They were balls of hairs and some of those were quite big. There was some other stuff floating on the water surface too, but I didn't inspect further and I quickly jumped out, as I was extremely uncomfortable. We decided to avoid the spa tub completely but we still wanted to enjoy the other features because of the money we paid for the experience. Half way we stopped to have a sip of the complimentary tea, which was cold by the way. Suddenly a stranger walked down the stairs and walked past us towards the exit. We definitely weren't expecting that as we booked the private session. Maybe just a staff member but again, having paid that much for a specific service, we just weren't expecting someone else especially not in our swimsuits. We had a laugh about it and we kept enjoying our session. During the introduction on our arrival, the nice receptionist, told us that at the end of the experience, we could have used some body lotions and cream, left there available to guests. Well, out of the 4 jars provided, 4 were empty. Not a big deal but still, for that amount of money, the attention to the details must...

I visited Mend for the first time after receiving a gift voucher from my husband, and I couldn’t have been more impressed! Booking online was so easy and the pricing for the massage I chose was incredibly reasonable for the quality and duration.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by Sonya, who immediately made me feel at ease. Her calm demeanour and welcoming energy set the tone for a truly relaxing experience. I’ve had hot stone massages before, but Sonya took the time to explain how the treatment would go, which made me feel comfortable and fully prepared for the session.

It was hands down the best massage I’ve ever had! The entire experience flew by, and I didn’t want it to end. Sonya is incredibly skilled and truly gifted at what she does. The hot stones were the perfect temperature, and the oils/lotions used left my skin feeling amazing—clearly high-quality products.

I’m already looking forward to my next visit. Sonya and the team at Mend have created something truly special, and I can’t recommend them enough.

For $65 a session, I expected a much better experience. There are no private showers, meaning you can’t properly clean yourself before or after. The ice bath was only 8°C—I’ve had colder ocean swims—and the water was cloudy, which made me question how many people had been in it before me. No hairdryers are provided, and when I asked, I was told it was my “choice” to wet my hair—anyone who has been in an 88°C sauna knows that’s not really a choice. Need an extra towel? That’ll be $3. And to make matters worse, a staff member implied I had stolen something just because I was alone for a few minutes while she was cleaning. For the price, I expected a relaxing and refreshing experience, but instead, I left feeling uncomfortable and...
