recently had the pleasure of dining at Pizzica Italian Restaurant, and I must say it was a truly delightful experience! From the moment we stepped into this cozy establishment, we were warmly welcomed by the staff and the charming Italian chef himself. The ambiance immediately transported us to Italy, with its rustic decor, warm lighting, and an overall inviting atmosphere that made us feel right at home.
We decided to order a variety of dishes from the menu to fully experience what Pizzica had to offer, and every single item exceeded our expectations. The cold cuts were an absolute treat, perfectly sliced and served fresh with a selection of cheeses and condiments that complemented each bite. The pizza, however, was the highlight of the evening — thin, crispy, and bursting with authentic flavors. Each slice was a perfect blend of quality ingredients, from the rich tomato sauce to the melted mozzarella and toppings that tasted like they came straight from Italy.
What truly sets Pizzica apart is the attention to detail and the passion of the chef, who took the time to interact with guests and share his love for authentic Italian cuisine. His friendliness and dedication to his craft were evident in every dish. The staff, too, were attentive and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations and ensuring our dining experience was flawless from start to finish.
Additionally, Pizzica boasts an impressive wine cellar with a selection of fine Italian wines. The staff provided helpful suggestions on pairings, enhancing our meal and making the evening even more special. The combination of delicious food, a warm and cozy atmosphere, and outstanding service makes Pizzica a must-visit for anyone looking for genuine Italian cuisine.
I highly recommend Pizzica to anyone seeking an authentic Italian dining experience. I will certainly be returning soon to explore more of the menu and enjoy another...
Read moreWe have previously had very good food at Pizzica. Sadly, tonight, was different. Four of us attended this restaurant. Two of our group currently work in the hospitality industry and understand the difficulties the industry is currently experiencing. And I am a former restaurant judge.
We purchased one bottle of what turned out to be young and mediocre Italian wine for $50 plus. The waiter did not know about the wine we chose. ( one of our party is a very experienced local senior winemaker but with little knowledge of this particular Italian wine) The meal portions were small and not filling. The fish and chicken portions were as hard as a rock. I suspect that the fish had been cooked previously and then reheated. The overcooked lamb came without any accompaniment. The platter was 50% fried bread ( which paradoxically, turned out to be the best part of the meal) No pasta ( apart from pizza) was to be found on the menu. And this is an Italian restaurant? Apart from the decor and the staff who are Italian, nothing else felt very Italian. The menu could have been an Australian menu at any restaurant. Except that everything was supposedly cooked over charcoal? ( even the desserts??? which we didn't have) The word usage on the menu may have been Italian, but that was about it. The restaurant was not full, but the service was slow. Would I go back? No. I can cook better at home. What a shame and how disappointing that what was once a restaurant we looked forward to when visiting Margaret River, has turned into something so lacklustre. Did I speak with the management about this? No, I took some time whilst driving home, to reflect and compose my thoughts. I wanted to be fair,...
Read moreMe and my friends came to Pizzaica for a birthday dinner two weeks ago, and let me tell you it was worth it! Obviously seeing the prices sit around the $30 - $40 range we were a little be skeptical about the portions and quality of the food, but trust me when I tell you that for what you get, it is immaculate. We shared an arrangement of four pizzas across the table with a bowl of chips and a few other side dishes, and it was worth it! Although overall, I think what really made Pizzaica stand out against most other restaurants you would go to is the amazing hospitality and service provided by a servers, especially a man named Mica. He looked after our table all night, provided constant refills for water, and wasn’t afraid to chat us up and make us feel really welcomed! Our whole group was praising him the entire night on the stream incredible service he provided us!
Overall I would 100% recommend any newcomers in Margaret river to hit up Pizzaica and just get a nice stack of different pizzas to share around the table!
(Also sorry for the late review haha I didn’t...
