Le Feu in Brighton is a hidden gem of a Vietnamese restaurant that caters to gluten-free diners, offering a wide array of delicious options on their menu. From the moment we stepped in, we were impressed by the variety of choices available, all of which were generously portioned and incredibly flavorful. One standout dish we tried was the wagyu beef, which was remarkably tender and juicy, showcasing the quality of the ingredients used. The lemongrass beef was another favorite, bursting with authentic Vietnamese flavors that delighted our taste buds. Additionally, the duck dish was a true winner, cooked to perfection and offering a unique and satisfying taste experience. What truly sets Le Feu apart is their commitment to serving healthy, non-oily dishes that don't compromise on taste. Each dish we tried felt fresh, light, and nourishing, making for a guilt-free dining experience. The staff at Le Feu were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive dining experience. The restaurant itself was clean, creating a welcoming and hygienic environment for diners. Overall, Le Feu in Brighton is a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine that is both delicious and health-conscious. With a menu full of tempting options, excellent service, and a clean and inviting atmosphere, this restaurant comes highly recommended. We can't wait to return and explore more of their offerings!

We came to La Feu Brighton for dinner after having a fantastic lunch at their Mornington restaurant. Unfortunately the Brighton experience wasn’t anywhere near as good. Starters was the KFC which came out really quickly although the chicken wasn’t piping hot out of the fryer, instead it was warmish - like it had been waiting to come out? Mains were the signature lamb ribs which didn’t have much meat on them and had the sticky aniseed sauce over the top - once again, felt like it had been cooked in a previous batch and then served up lukewarm. There was no charred taste to this whatsoever. Our second main was char kuey teow which was an absolute disaster. No charred flavour, no Chinese sausage, no pork fat, loads of bean shoots, no glass noodles but rather another type of noodle. Even grabbing noodles from the middle they weren’t hot. They sent it back and re-did it but it was no better. The 5 prawns on top were nice but this was so far from char kuey teow that it’s laughable. Service was friendly but the food was below average. I hate to be negative like this after eating at their Mornington restaurant on the same day and having a great experience. This might be a one off but unfortunately I don’t think I’d return.

I’m really disappointed and also a bit concerned after my recent experience with this place. I ordered their pork & prawn spring rolls and beef bourguignon for delivery. Pretty pricey at $45 total via ubereats and my meal was inedible. The spring rolls were soggy and limp, almost as though the batter wasn’t properly cooked through and the filling was so dry and flavourless that I only made it through half of one before giving up. The only flavour coming off of them was the copious amounts of salt added on top. I only live a 10 min drive from the store and have ordered plenty of spring rolls in the past so I don’t think it was a matter of the travel. As for the beef bourguignon this baby arrived with a 1/2 inch layer of oil, 5 pieces of tough beef with poorly rendered fat clinging on to the meat and two little bits of carrot. The sauce was sickeningly sweet and the dish tasted like the freezer which makes sense since after having a scoop of the meal I noticed it arrived in it’s prep container dating NINE DAYS AGO. Really sad because I was excited to have a properly gluten free meal and now I’m out $45, still hungry, and pretty concerned by the quality and care for ingredients at this store.

The attention to detail in every dish is evident, and the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients makes all the difference. Each plate is artfully presented, showcasing the chef's creativity and culinary expertise.

Apart from the food, the service at Le Feu Brighton Easy is impeccable. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and passionate about ensuring you have a memorable dining experience. They are always on hand to recommend dishes and offer insights into the menu.

With a mixed heart I write this review. If all you care about is the quality of the food well, it was good for two of us but pretty average for two others in our group. The seafood dish and wagyu curry were hot and delicious. My sons low FODMAP calamari was cold when it arrived and came without the chips listed in the menu. My daughters fried chicken was on a par with supermarket oven fried chicken. She didn’t eat it all.

Otherwise, the experience was total chaos. It took close to an hour and a half for all our meals and drinks to arrive. The first main came in 30 minutes then another persons main at 60mins. They then left to buy drinks at another place, and while they were gone our final two arrived.

We were told certain drinks weren’t available yet tables arriving after us were given those drinks too.

Looking at the reviews very slow service is a common complaint.

We had to make three trips to the counter to follow up on our order.

The atmosphere is cheap and fast Vietnamese - this isn’t a moody romantic or atmospheric restaurant at all. We love Vietnamese food but after such excitement when hearing of it, and two of the mains being good, the rest of our night was ruined by poor service and...
