We booked in for a weeks stay two villa’s and a powered site absolutely can not give this place enough stars, the staff are AMAZING such a welcoming place is really clean, we have been coming here for the last 8 years and will continue coming for as long as possible in the future. Although we are a little cramped in our villa but it’s completely to be expected when your a larger family, we manage and utilise the camp kitchen as it’s a full operating kitchen. Thank you to all the staff at Mehi van park you are amazing and look forward to returning later this year. **
I read in another review that on New Year’s Eve there was parties this is incorrect there were 2 groups that were talking and enjoying New Year’s Eve but no parties until 1am as soon as New Years clicked over the park was as Silent as a graveyard the park was so clean no mess at all and as for “funny smelling cigarettes” that’s just a down right lie as we were there for a whole week and no body that I knew off was smoking anything but normal cigarettes. The police do random drives throughout the park on request of the owner and her family, I think this great idea. As for the cigarettes around the camp kitchen they actually were in a but bin which might I add was emptied everyday. I believe that everyone has an opinion and sometimes people just like to start trouble and want free things in this life. I can not recommend this park and all the...
Read moreFacilities were basic and trees need pruning as small branches and masses of seed pods were falling down onto our van in the wind. We were led to believe that this park as others in this area had thermal artesian pools. When I asked the mangers what temperature the water was I was told it was 36 degrees and they couldn’t get it any higher. This alerted me and I asked why - it is just a small pool that is heated using town water. The sign at the pool basically infers it is what you would see at an artesian water pool. We paid $50 per night. We decided to leave and went to Gwydir Caravan Park which had proper Artesian water pools of varying temperatures and it was $40 per night. They had better sites including a kiosk where you could buy coffee, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The service there was excellent! I wouldn’t recommend Moree Tourist Park due to their deceitful advertising even though Artesian wasn’t stated. I spoke to a few other people who were in the pool and they were also disappointed. An honest tourist park would just advertise “Heated Pool”. We certainly wont go...
Read morefirst time Moree. some trepidation given many stories of huge crime. well it is a great town - sure you can find trouble but most towns same. van park great spot - we were fortunate to grab a very quiet private powered site. new park managers only been there for five weeks and really having a go to make a pleasant stay for guests. the sites weren’t as grassy as the pictures but spacious. the spa is not the artisan sourced water but lovely to plunge and then the adjacent pool. Plenty of mossies about so be prepared. the royal hotel allows dogs in beer garden which shortly is being refurbished. Amarok and Pally pubs unfortunately have no pets policy. but plenty to see and do in Moree and great Van park to spend a comfortable time. didn’t have a cabin so really can’t comment on rooms but had to give a rating! look old but cleaner always...
