I booked this accomodation for a 2 night stay over Easter to visit my daughter who lives in Moree. Reading the reviews it looked like one of the best. Sadly I have been dissatisfied and disappointed. Firstly the website and the sign out the front of the motel state there is Foxtel ( there is no Foxtel, false advertising). The front of the motel is so uninviting with a large room as you drive in to reception is obviously the Owners home. The photo on the website is at the back of the motel where a restaurant is which was not open all weekend. On arrival I was told that my room was a Queen when I had booked a king and that the room wasn’t ready due to being understaffed. Absolutely not my problem didn’t want to hear about it especially when they were very happy to take my money. I was told that they upgraded me to another room with a king bed and that room was ready at 2.00 pm ( there was no upgrade I had booked a king room and was given a king room) There was no light bulb in the bed side table my husband had to take the bulb out of his side so I could read. No bulb in the light over the desk and both lights in the roof had insects in them. The bathroom was so small with no cupboard or drawer or space to but toiletries. There was one roll of toilet paper and we stayed 2 nights. On a good note the shower was good and the bed wasn’t to bad ( clean sheets and the mattress was comfortable. We were given no milk to make a cuppa in the morning. We went to the front reception to ask for milk but it was all locked up. We will be coming to Moree on a regular basis but we will not be staying at the Econo Lodge Moree...

Read moreFriendly staff. The room was clean and tidy. We were in a 2 bedroom unit with two additional beds in the living room. The overall until was large and even with two single beds, there was enough room for the kids to play and the sofas didn't have to be moved. The beds are comfortable. The windows have blackout blinds if required and the motel has ample car park space. It has a small pool and bbq facility. They have a restaurant onsite but we didn't visit it so unable to comment on it, however from outside it was well lit and looked nice.
Coming back to the unit, there is a full kitchen and fridge provided. Between the kitchen and living room there was a small division as kitchen had titles where as the living room had floor boards. This gap was not filled and seemed like it needed a cover of some sort. Just recommend the hotel fix this.
There is only one bathroom/toilet in the unit. So if it's a large family, it's slightly inconvenient.
Next to the hotel is a large park with toilet facilities and on weekends there is a market . So for walks and markets, it's an ideal location to stay at when visiting. It's not too far from the Moree CBD for shopping or restaurants.
It's walking distance away from Moree Artesian Aquatic Centre.
Will certainly stay here again...
