Maslina Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Moree

Went to this restaurant tonight while passing through Moree. Very disappointing firstly it’s like eating in a works canteen with no atmosphere; we ordered salt and pepper squid which was well cooked and tasty, we also ordered a serve of their signature steak dish which was so tough I couldn’t eat it and my partner ordered a chorizo pasta dish which had 30mm deep oil in the bowl and she couldn’t eat it because it was so oily. We sent both dishes back and refused to pay for it albeit we paid for the squid dish and the 2 glasses of wine we had. Dined here over the October long weekend. The food was excellent quality and reasonably priced. Had the ribeye steak, was cooked to perfection. The snapper was beautifully cooked.

The waitress and barmaid had exceptional customer service and assisted us with our questions and requests. I would say however the waitress was a little busy, there needed to be another, but we did attend on a night where there was a very large group so it was busy.

Great friendly atmosphere. Could do with some background music. A little noisy due to the open plan.

Thought I’d get away from the pub food and treat myself to something a little bit special. So glad I did. Went with the items off the specials list, and yum. Service was great, and the food delicious. Best roasted figs I’ve had anywhere and both the duck and the lamb were cooked to perfection. Contemplating dessert and I think I’ll just have to. - Sticky Toffee Pudding to come. If you’re looking for a fine dining experience, you won’t be disappointed. Well done to the entire team.
