I absolutely loved my stay at The Clarence Hotel Sydney! From the moment I walked in, the interior design captivated me—it’s upbeat, playful, and full of character, with beautiful colors and delicate flowers painted on the floor. The boutique feel made it feel intimate yet stylish.
My room was compact but perfectly designed for a three-night stay. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable—honestly, some of the best I’ve experienced in a hotel! I appreciated the thoughtful amenities: a mini bar fridge, coffee machine, jug, and utensils (great for leftovers!), plus wine glasses to unwind after a long day. The space-saving mirror that housed the iron and ironing board was such a smart touch.
The bathroom had everything I needed, with two showerheads for a luxurious experience and a backlit mirror + makeup mirror that made getting ready a breeze. Even the hotel elevator doors became my go-to spot for outfit selfies—so chic!
Beyond the aesthetics, the service was exceptional. The girls on the front desk were warm, welcoming, and genuinely accommodating to my every need. I also felt so safe with the keycard security and staff always present at the entrance.
Despite some reviews mentioning street noise, I had no issues—maybe because I’m used to city life. The location is unbeatable, with easy tram access to the Opera House and endless shopping, restaurants, and cafés nearby.
If you’re traveling solo, this is an absolute must-stay!...
Read moreGreat location, room was nice and service very friendly. Unfortunately there were a couple of issues. The room faced out over the street and was quite noisy to the point I had to use ear plugs supplied by the hotel. You would have thought a newly renovated hotel would have double glazed windows but apparentley not.
The second issue is there are no dining options. As an Accor platinum member I was expecting at least a voucher to have breakfast somewhere close by on the two days I stayed. The room cost me $760 and did not offer any such voucher which was very disappointing. This is like a serviced apartment not a hotel. The only saving grace was that I could use other Accor hotels and enjoy my discount but very difficult for breakfast when time is limited. There is no benefit for me to come back as I can enjoy all of the benefits I need at other...
Read morePleasant new hotel. Front room on 2nd floor was large (a plus) for a city hotel. However, bring air-plugs as like any CBD hotel there will be street noise through the night - garbage collection, car hoons, etc. Spotlessly clean, and serviced daily. If you're a hot sleeper note there's no blanket option. You're stuck with duvet or just sheets. The room does lack some amenities that you'll find in similar hotels - no drawers to store clothes, no wardrobe, just pegs and 2 coat hangers (ask for more if needed). Also no bath robes. There is no restaurant or cafe on the premises, but I believe there are plans to add a cafe/restaurant next to reception in the near future. However there are plenty of good cafes and restaurants all within a few hundred metres. Very pleasant and helpful...
