I absolutely loved my stay at The Clarence Hotel Sydney! From the moment I walked in, the interior design captivated me—it’s upbeat, playful, and full of character, with beautiful colors and delicate flowers painted on the floor. The boutique feel made it feel intimate yet stylish. My room was compact but perfectly designed for a three-night stay. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable—honestly, some of the best I’ve experienced in a hotel! I appreciated the thoughtful amenities: a mini bar fridge, coffee machine, jug, and utensils (great for leftovers!), plus wine glasses to unwind after a long day. The space-saving mirror that housed the iron and ironing board was such a smart touch. The bathroom had everything I needed, with two showerheads for a luxurious experience and a backlit mirror + makeup mirror that made getting ready a breeze. Even the hotel elevator doors became my go-to spot for outfit selfies—so chic! Beyond the aesthetics, the service was exceptional. The girls on the front desk were warm, welcoming, and genuinely accommodating to my every need. I also felt so safe with the keycard security and staff always present at the entrance. Despite some reviews mentioning street noise, I had no issues—maybe because I’m used to city life. The location is unbeatable, with easy tram access to the Opera House and endless shopping, restaurants, and cafés nearby. If you’re traveling solo, this is an absolute must-stay! Can’t to return.

We had the privilege of being the first guests at The Clarence Hotel Sydney, and it was an incredible experience! It has just opened and still has the ‘new’ smell. The location is as central as you can be for all the best shopping in Sydney, we also enjoyed a walk along Darling Harbour nearby. Accor Platinum benefits were graciously recognized, with a thoughtful touch of chocolate and flowers in the room. Maxime’s and the team warm welcome and impeccable service truly stood out - nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were very spacious and the bed was super comfortable. There is also a well stocked gym with all the latest equipment that could even connect to my smartwatch. A fantastic stay at a beautifully run hotel! We will be back!

First time staying here for a business trip while attending a convention — right in the heart of Sydney CBD, which made everything super accessible. The hotel isn’t much to look at from the outside, but it's surrounded by great cafés and food spots (plus a top-notch massage place right across the street — bonus!). Staff were professional, kind and informative, which made check-in and the stay smooth. Only minor cons: a broken light in the room and just one Nespresso capsule provided. Also, Chrome casting didn’t work for me despite following instructions. Not bad for a quaint, chic boutique hotel for a quick stay.

Great location, room was nice and service very friendly. Unfortunately there were a couple of issues. The room faced out over the street and was quite noisy to the point I had to use ear plugs supplied by the hotel. You would have thought a newly renovated hotel would have double glazed windows but apparentley not.

The second issue is there are no dining options. As an Accor platinum member I was expecting at least a voucher to have breakfast somewhere close by on the two days I stayed. The room cost me $760 and did not offer any such voucher which was very disappointing. This is like a serviced apartment not a hotel. The only saving grace was that I could use other Accor hotels and enjoy my discount but very difficult for breakfast when time is limited. There is no benefit for me to come back as I can enjoy all of the benefits I need at other...

Pleasant new hotel. Front room on 2nd floor was large (a plus) for a city hotel. However, bring air-plugs as like any CBD hotel there will be street noise through the night - garbage collection, car hoons, etc. Spotlessly clean, and serviced daily. If you're a hot sleeper note there's no blanket option. You're stuck with duvet or just sheets. The room does lack some amenities that you'll find in similar hotels - no drawers to store clothes, no wardrobe, just pegs and 2 coat hangers (ask for more if needed). Also no bath robes. There is no restaurant or cafe on the premises, but I believe there are plans to add a cafe/restaurant next to reception in the near future. However there are plenty of good cafes and restaurants all within a few hundred metres. Very pleasant and helpful...
