Possibly the worst hotel Ive ever stayed in
No accessibility, you are forced to use the stairs, even tho there is an elevator, you must use the stairs to go down to reception or up to first floor.
Now with the wifi this was genuinely embarrassing, it constantly disconnects like non stop (probably had a record of 15 disconnects in 20 minutes), and even when you try to reconnect it wont show up in the wifi section and you have to keep refreshing to find the wifi, and when you are connected it sucks, very slow. Wasted so much data from being randomly disconnected and not realizing especially if watching a video.
They still use keys?? Why?? Keycards are so much easier and more efficient. Pretty much every hotel in the developed world uses keycards now, except this joke of a hotel. It’s just an inconvenience having to lock and unlock your door everytime, and is also a fire hazard in the event of a fire if your door is locked since you need to use the key to lock the door from the inside. Also you can only have 1 key which is just annoying.
The bathrooms situation is horrible. First theres no sink in the toilet room (toilet is seperate from bathroom), so you have to touch things and what not to wash your hands. and in the event someone is using the shower while you finished using the toilet you cannot wash your hands. The shower room is atrocious as well, first it has a very strong weird odour that makes it unpleasant to be in, and theres barely any hot water if you can get any at all, there is also 0 ledge to place your shower stuff such as shampoo and whatever so you either have to leave it on the floor or have it on the sink counter. So your showers will be unpleasant and almost a chore to take.
One of the beds has 0 bedside table and outlet which ends up being very annoying, and no fridge either.
Location is decent being near the train station
All in all save your money and stay somewhere else, absolutely...
Read moreThe hotel is on one side of the main bridge, about a 10-20 min walk away from the popular tourist/sightsee, and shopping locations. Nice scenic walk to Sound of music tour pickup, Mozart's house, Fortress Hohensalzburg, Mirabell Gardens and more. Also there are many resturants from different cultures (Chinese, Japanese(sushi), Indian, Italian food) near the hotel !
Additionally, the breakfast was nice and the coffee was good.
The bathroom/shower needs renovation. Water got all over the bathroom floor due to the old shower door that did not properly seal. Secondly, the drain needs cleaning/unclogging because water did not go down the drain well and you are left to stand in your dirty water while bathing.
Next, the cabinet for hanging clothes needed to be wiped down, someone before us had spilled something on it. And the night stands were dusty.
Addionally, I am not sure if the room circulation was poor but each time we got fresh bathroom towels they were a bit moist. We had to open the bathroom door and window to let the towels dry or circulate air flow.
I would also like to mention, that the cleaning lady opened the door around 7:30am without knocking & we were in bed. And when checking out, we were charged 10euros ($10), and she claimed it was tax. But why wouldn't that have been asked upfront when I paid online a month ago? It also seems suspicious when she asked why we were using card and not...
