Awesome place for cake lovers, they have quite some impressive variations of desserts and really yummy cakes. Tried at least 3 of them and each came out super delicious 😋 - Place itself is mostly crowded and you really need some luck to get a table there, staff is friendly but little chaotic, probably cause of amount of people they have to handle but still.. first friend of mine got a tea with some paper in it, than i had to wait for my cake almost half hour no matter that I offered them that I can take it myself they kept saying that its not allowed and that I have to wait for waiter to bring it,while it was on bar for more than 20 minute and everyone seemed busy to bring it no matter that my table was 3 steps away. They have one big room, one small and outside sitting areas. Smoking is allowed outside only. It’s not Kind friendly, they don’t have even chair for babies no matter that costumers were mostly families. Prices are quite reasonable, let’s say coffee +cake per person is around 6-7 Eu. I’d give them 8/10 just cause of the cakes or else would have been even less, but those cakes tho, they are superior 🙃

Cafe Fingerlos is a Viennese-style coffee house located in the Andräviertel district of Salzburg. It is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, and is known for its extensive breakfast menu, delicious pastries, and friendly service. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cafe Fingerlos for breakfast. I ordered the Viennese breakfast, which came with a croissant, bread roll, butter, jam, honey, a boiled egg, and a glass of orange juice. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and they made me feel right at home. I was also impressed with the atmosphere of the cafe. It is a very cozy and inviting space, with a traditional Viennese feel. The cafe is decorated with dark wood furniture, and there are plenty of newspapers and magazines to read. It is the perfect place to relax and enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Cafe Fingerlos. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very inviting. I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Viennese breakfast.

My group was in search of a restaurant that had two different local dishes we wanted to try and this one had both. Kaiserschmarrn and Eispalatschinke. We ended up with the chocolate schmarrn and the curd cheese schmarrn and both were delicious. They need 30 minutes to prepare so while we waited I ordered a Salzburg omelette. The omelette was great and a perfect portion. The schmarrn was good as well and just as good the next day or better (cold). But the Eispalatschinke was my favorite. Chocolate ice cream crepe. The ice cream really put this crepe over the top. We were there right before closing so the tone it took to pay and leave the restaurant was longer than I preferred but our waitress was very patient when ordering. The water glasses we were given seemed more like shot glasses - water isn’t as easy to come by in Europe as in America!

I recently visited this establishment for breakfast, with high hopes for a pleasant start to my day. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of expectations.

Upon receiving the bill, I was unpleasantly surprised to find that I had been overcharged. When I requested a receipt to clarify the charges, the staff failed to provide a proper one, instead handing me a handwritten note. This level of unprofessionalism was disconcerting, to say the least.

Upon my insistence about the billing discrepancy, they eventually conceded their error and refunded part of the charges. However, this episode left a sour taste in my mouth (both metaphorically and literally), overshadowing any positives the meal could have offered.

In a time where trust and customer service are paramount, this establishment failed to demonstrate either. It's unfortunate, as I had hoped for a delightful breakfast experience, but was met with a situation that can only be described as a fiasco.

I strongly believe that customers deserve clear, accurate billing and professional service. Unfortunately, based on my experience, this place does not seem to uphold these basic business principles.

I hope that management takes note of this incident and makes necessary changes. As it stands, I regretfully cannot recommend this place for a leisurely breakfast or for any meal, for...

First of all, the avocado toast we ordered was prepared in a very cheap way that the egg I had in mine was 1/4 part of a single egg. My friend really didn’t like the taste of the bread as well. Also there is no need to say that avocado amount was insufficient. After we decided to give a second chance and we chose a dessert from the showcase and the man put it on a plate, it was ready, we wanted to take it but he said “sit and I will bring it to you”. We sat and waited for him to bring it to us for a long time. In this time period he even cleaned the tables instead of bringing our dessert, and the annoying point is that we could have taken it at first therefore not wait. While eating our dessert, we noticed that there was a lot of hair on our table so we changed our table. In the end while paying, because of the very badly prepared menu we thought that our toast was 3,80 € but we paid 5,90 € each, and clearly this was on purpose. When we complained about this, she even tried to increase the price with a bad manner. While I was waiting to pay, one of the waiter passed behind me two times by pushing me....
