If you’re ever in Sank Wolfgang… this would be your hotel of choice! We are glad that we choose this hotel because I would rate 5⭐️ for the following:
Service We were greeted by the owner himself, Mr Roland but we didn’t know he was the owner until later. We had a very interesting welcome chat. It’s really nice to know later that the owner was the one who welcomed us. The overall service was amazing, the staff, the cook (he was kind to cook me vegan meals) was amazing. He shared tips for you to get around. All you need to do is ask and you’ll get a loads of info
Room Our room ‘Suite On The Top‘ and this was the best room according to the owner and I must agree to that! Check out my pictures to see the view from the room. It’s simply amazing! From the entrance, you’ll have a walking wardrobe on your left with mini in the entrance then to the left the bedroom and shower. Toilet has its own room. With an awesome balcony and lounge chairs. Just as you see in the pictures on the websites. The pillows were little soft so if you have problems with those kinda pillow just ask for a change or bring your own. We had ours with us. There’s slippers and bathrobe in the room!
Breakfast You‘re treated to an ala carte breakfast with your choice of eggs and course by course! What’s a service! Awesome range of bread and the best part is they have vegan options!
Facilities We had the Harley which was available for rent and we took that for a spin! It’s in perfect condition with helmets as well! There’s plenty of book for you to read if you decide to stay in. The owner - Roland is a Traveller and a wine lover so you’ll definitely get some tips on this topic if you’re interested. There’s massage facility and of course the pool! Parking is just across the hotel - less then a 100m and you’ll be given an electronic key for the parking gate. If you get there with your bicycles, there’s a bicycle stand besides the hotel and this bicycle stands are so cool! Check out the video and pictures! Plus, the Billard room and also a whole shelf of dvds 😉
Overall we had an amazing stay of 4days 3nights! We will definitely look forward for a visit in the future. The hotel is so close by to the old town and the Schafbergerspitze station! Check out the pictures and I hope this would help you to make your decision on your hotel!
Thank you Roland for the wonderful stay! Love your...
Read moreI recently organized a weekend getaway trip for a couple of friends of mine. My best friend is getting married, and I was in charge of organizing the bachelor’s trip. Usually, this would entail renting a villa in Ibiza or Marbella for a weekend of partying, which we have done many times before. However, this time we decided to head to the Wolfgangsee to enjoy the beautiful mountains and lakes.||We all lead busy lives, with kids, so this time around we wanted to take it easy and be active.||After doing some research online, I came across Cortisen. It had everything we were looking for - a stunning waterfront deck with access to the lake, a pool with a spa, a fine wine collection, and much more. From the first moment I spoke with Roland on the phone, I knew we were in for a warm welcome and professional hospitality.||During our trip, we explored the spectacular hiking trails, cycled the breathtaking roads on our road bikes, and hung out by the lake - they even had paddle boards, which added to the cool vibe of the place. We were fortunate with the weather, which made our stay even better.||For those reading this review and wondering what a bunch of 34-year-olds were doing in a town full of retired couples, well, our stay didn’t go without a tiny hiccup. We did get a little noisy one evening, to be exact, it was only 11 pm (remember, this is Austria where people like to go to bed early).||As responsible gentlemen, the next morning we personally apologized to Roland and the guests who were a little bothered. Roland was incredibly understanding and maybe even had a little smile about it. I think deep down, it was refreshing for him to have a group of guys hanging around. ||I highly recommend Cortiseen to all those who wish to stay in a sophisticated property. Their staff made us feel very welcome. This is the type of place that requires a certain level of respect and class from the guests, and I knew my friends would be respectful of Roland’s credo.||Next time I will come with my wife. Alone. ||Thank you Roland & his team for...
Read moreThe (Black) suite was very nice and the dinners good. However we ended up with a disappointing stay and we wouldn’t return due to the afternoon & early evening heat in the room. We asked for an electric fan shortly after we arrived but the owner said he didn’t have any and suggested we should leave the windows open during Dinner and it would be fine afterwards. We like to enjoy our room in the afternoon but due to the heat we had to have the curtains closed to try to keep the room a bit cooler so could not enjoy the view - and getting ready to go out for Dinner - was uncomfortably hot. Our sleep was also affected. A simple provision of an electric fan would likely have done the trick but the hotel was not able to offer one! Prior to flying out from Gatwick our 58 Euro equivalent Premier Inn room acknowledged the issue and a fan was provided in the room prior to arrival but here - in our 450 Euro room - we had to manage without one! We weren’t able to use the lovely balcony either as there was absolutely no protection from the sun which - with one of us having had skin cancer - was no use. Consequently we had a lovely - but totally impractical - room. |We raised it with the owner again at checkout and he did seem sorry and said we should have gone back to him - maybe he should in fact have sought us out at breakfast the following morning to check if our issue was resolved.|I notice that, in a recent reply to a critical review, the owner talks about customers trying to blackmail him and ‘serial complainers’. So, for the record, we did not ask for any reduction to our 3500 Euro bill - and, if you look at our other TA reviews, we are usually...
