It was family holiday we r travelling 8 adults with 4 kids, I was booked one of the great hotel in cox’s bazaar. However, due to some lack of communication my booking was not there. Last minute I have to find hotel. got recommended one of my friend who was working over there. He was recommended Windy trace Hotel. And provide one of their front desk staff number Name is Forkan Ali, who was really helpful to make a booking and do the needful. It was good hotel with lot of positive vibes, there room is good with nice amenities and well mentioned clean. however, there is no view from the room which one sad part of the hotel. As I’m hotelier I have lot of expectations to the hotel. We appreciate their kindness as we arrived there early morning they allowed us to use their lobby until our room got ready. They have nice rooftop swimming pool, which one they allowed in house guest to use 1 hour per day, but I feel that pool was not cleaned properly there is very strong smell. You can feel that chemical smell. It should not be used much chemical for health purposes. Our breakfast was included our room. When we went breakfast I was amazed to see it was very well decorated restaurant. However, their buffet food need to be more informed with lot of verities, I was shocked to see there is no fresh fruit on the menu. When I asked one of their female employees about fresh fruit her response was very unprofessional way that fruit is finish, there buffet was open morning 6:00AM to Until 10:00am when I ask about fruit it was 9:20am. How could you not refill the fruit and respond the guest that fruit is finish. In July normally fruit season in Bangladesh you can find easily Mango, banana, guava, jak fruit, with very cheap price. Management should looking on this. Hope they will looking in to the details to make their guest satisfactions. I have observe this their staff need lot of training to do their best...

First of all, no complains about the hotel interior, room services, complimentary breakfast, room amenities etc. Though, the view from hotel is not something great. Room room is also competitive.
But want to aware future tourists about their fraudulent activities that we have experienced lately. A group of colleagues and friends visited this hotel very recently. We took 4 rooms from them for 1 night stay and two rooms for 2 night stay. According to their policy, the check-in time was 12PM and check-out time was 11AM. Since, we checked in almost 11 hours late at their hotel, we asked for a discounted room tariff, but they refused to give us that according to their policy. We had no issues regarding that. While booking, when they asked about our probable check-out time verbally, we told them we will be checking-out within 10 PM that day though we had right to retain the room up until 11 AM next day. Since a portion of our group changed their plan and thought about extending their stay up to 11 AM next day, we informed the receptionist about our check-out time. But then the hotel receptionist demanded 1--day extra charge from us.
Technically, he was demanding 3-day charge of hotel rooms, though we were supposed to stay at the hotel for 1.5 days/36 hours.
When we refused to give it to them, they told that they have already sold our rooms to new guests without informing us. If we don't pay for an extra day, we have to leave our room. The hotel staffs behaviour was also very unprofessional. Though, we had the legal right to stay at our booked rooms for next morning 11AM, we had to check-out from the rooms previous night 10PM due to their unprofessional attitude and business practice.
Never expected such unprofessional and unethical attitude from such a hotel.
So, PLEASE BE AWARE BEFORE GOING TO AVOID...
Read morePros: -Very well decorated and spacious rooms. -Clean washrooms with standard amenities. -Well-behaved staff. -The rooftop pool has a splendid view. -Large sitting arrangements in the lobby and in the restaurant. -Lots of cheap options for lunch/ dinner nearby.
Cons: -Check-in was slow and poorly managed. I have got a room after 12 pm, though similar category rooms were given to many, who came a lot later than us. We later found out that the guy who was initially in the reception didn't inform others about us when he left after his shift. -No welcome drinks were given. -Buffet breakfast was average. Hardly 4-5 main items were served. Only banana was served among fruits. Coming to the main items, khichuri served in the first day was good. However, Chicken Tehari on the second day was terrible. It was served without any chicken. I have seen mutton teharis served with slightly less mutton than needed, but for Chicken Tehari, this was the first time. -It's a good 20-minute walk to the nearby beach. -Pool is not temperature controlled. -Sea view rooms are not exactly sea view. At least in my case, it wasn't.
To summarise, I have stayed there for two nights and might revisit if I have a slightly tighter budget. Wouldn't recommend it in summer as the distance from the beach is considerable. While autos are there, you have to take a turn from dolphin mor to go to kolatoli, passing through a considerable amount of traffic. Sugandha beach is even...
