Fritkot Chouke — Local services in Brussels

Yesterday evening, my cousin and I had the absolute pleasure of trying the best fries we’ve ever had, served with a delicious traditional Belgian beef stew called Stoofvlees. The experience was made even better by the incredibly friendly and knowledgeable gentleman who served us.

Not only was he exceptionally kind, but he also took the time to explain everything about how the fries and Stoofvlees were prepared and what makes them so special. His passion for great food was evident, and it truly added to the overall experience.

The service was fast, and the food was absolutely outstanding—crispy, golden fries paired perfectly with the rich, flavorful, and tender Stoofvlees. Every bite was pure perfection!

The food is delicious, but I got randomly shouted at and threatened by one of the chefs after I had already eaten. He said that I hadn't paid for my food. Completely random, as I had paid with one of his younger colleagues right after my order and even left a tip. I afterwards asked the younger colleague, as he was cleaning up the terrace, and he said that he remembered that I had paid. There seems to be a bit of miscommunication in the team and anger management issues among some of the employees. Perhaps something...

Great fries spot in St Catherine. The fries and Chouke burger are highly recommended. The Chouke burger was really good, however the frites julien and chicken crispy burger were average. You can pay by card starting 5 or 6 euros if your bill is less than that you should pay by cash. The seating is exclusively outdoors and is wheelchair accessible.
