Amazing stay. Would definitely come back in the future. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, they gave us a gift at check-in for Easter that we absolutely loved. They also gave directions to find the shopping mall that is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The area is super safe and clean. We walked back from the mall after sunset and felt secure in getting back to the hotel. The breakfast is exactly as pictured in their pictures. It has a large selection and stays open from 6 to 1030. Food stayed warm and is changed out. The shower had the best water pressure I've ever had at a hotel. The rooms and hotel are very nicely styled and modern. They have fresh water, iced tea, and hot tea near reception as well. They even gave a gift when checking out. ||The wi-fi is 9/10. I work from home and needed to work in the hotel for a day. I had no issues the entire day and was able to join a meeting with no interruptions and the internet never fell. Absolute best hotel wi-fi I've ever had. I gave it a 9 because I could tell it wasn't as fast as a household internet service. I only had med. sized files to download so I'm not sure how it would stand up for upload/larger files. Would probably just take longer to load large files which is just something to keep in mind.||Things to be aware of: the toilet water pressure wasn't the best. Not sure if it was only our room or not. We didn't complain bc our stay was short and everything did go away after 3 flushes. Also the AC - the air conditioning is great but doesn't release very strong. This is good at night but if you've been out in the heat and want to turn it up to cool down it's...
Read moreSpent 4 nights here to attend F1 at interlagos. Surprised that the rating is 5 stars. |The good|1. Buffet breakfast is excellent and includes plenty of variety to fuel you up.|2. Location. For F1, close to Paraiso metro station. Metro is a great way around the incredibly bad traffic. Neighborhood is close to Paulista and great selection of local restaurants (Especially the one next door). Short jog to the park.|The "Meh"|1. Variable service and hospitality. The bar keep/restaurant manager was outstanding - attentive and helpful. Other service workers not so much. Two examples: was forced away from coffee machine when server returned to reload coffee cups. My coffee was ready to go and I was blocked. Two. Tried to catch elevator when doors closing. Service person inside made no effort to reopen doors. Elevator was empty. Beware the doors they're not friendly.|2. The room. Bed was ok pillows ok shower ok. Spartan. But clean.|The Bad|1. Price. I guess you're paying for location and high tourism. At USD 100-150, a queen room would be reasonable. At USD 250-300, what we paid, not a good deal.|2. Physical plant. Carpeting in front of room moldy. Shower fixture loose and ready to fall apart, elevator buttons not working, pool closed. Worst was in room smoke sensor over the bed decided to start flashing red in the middle of the night. Went to reception at 2 am. After short investigation, declared nothing to be done till the morning. Lucky I had...
Read moreThe lobby is beautiful and dramatic upon entering, with a huge void that runs the whole height of the building. Glass faced lifts run up and down to the various levels. There is an intimate little corner with complimentary drinks where you relax. So, quite a nice experience. However, to me, the timber decor in the rooms made them feel a bit dated. Notwithstanding, our room was on a high level as we asked for, and had pleasant skyscraper views.||We found some staff spoke very good English, others not so much, but we always make do with translator apps and sign language!! All staff were lovely.||The location felt very safe and was easily walkable to public transport, shopping and sightseeing. It's also very close to CGH airport.||The breakfast was varied and good quality, and started early which was useful as we had an early flight to catch.||Best of all was the value though. For what is was, I felt is was extremely...
