Well, we stayed 4 days in this place that calls itself a hotel. When we arrived, the reception was reasonable, we asked for a double room, which was notified in advance but was not available, so we spent 1 night in a room with two single beds. On the second day, they released a double room at 10 am, so we moved. Both rooms had furniture with many signs of use, a mini TV that must be about 10 years old, and a basic package from Claro (a telecommunications company). The Wi-Fi disconnected all the time asking for login. On the second day, there was a power outage in the hotel (which they had warned would have maintenance, but we would stay on the generator), which did not happen. We were without power for over an hour, and when it came back, the air conditioning didn't work. I called the reception 4 times in a two-hour period, and the attendant said maintenance would come and literally ignored us. We spent the next two days without air conditioning. The breakfast was reasonable, but the restaurant attendants leave something to be desired in service (especially the men), but that wasn't the worst part. We left the room and forgot a bag with 3 shoes. When we reached the parking lot, we remembered the bag and went back to get it. When we got there, there were only 2 shoes, but I thought we had taken one pair down. I went up, we searched, the housekeepers as well as the management were helpful (THE GUY AT THE RECEPTION MADE A MOCKING FACE AND PAID LITTLE ATTENTION, SHAKING HIS HEAD SEVERAL TIMES, HE ALMOST CALLED US CRAZY), well, after OVER AN HOUR OF SEARCHING, THEY DISCOVERED THAT THE GUY FROM THE MINIBAR ENTERED THE ROOM, OPENED THE BAG, AND TOOK MY WIFE'S BOOT!! HE ONLY RETURNED IT WHEN CONFRONTED BY THE HOUSEKEEPER, UNBELIEVABLE. IN SUMMARY, there are better and cheaper hotels in the area, I do not recommend...
Read moreI arrived to the hotel after 28 hours of traveling, tired and lacking of sleep and jet lagged. For some reasons both my debit card didn’t work and my bank is closed considering the time difference. They won’t accept another currency. I understand the policy however I had cash in USD and was offering to use it as deposit so I could exchange money the next day. I was not allowed. For a brand like Wyndham, there is absolutely no empathy, no customer service no help extended. The receptionist Manoel, this man was so unhelpful. I had to go around Paulista for an hour to look for a currency exchange place on a winter night. After I paid, there was even no staff to assist with the luggage. The hotel room is worn and the cupboard is hideous. I am a hotelier myself and the service was unacceptable. I would have been a different scenario if I did not have the cash for a deposit, all he did was insist that the administration did not allow, no further resolution offered. Wydham being a US brand and not allowing USD in payment or at least a deposit was a...
Read moreNot sure how this can be labeled as a 4 star hotel. Pros: pretty good internet, location, and reception, even though when checking out the receptionist saw someone cut in front of us yet still helped them first. We arrived at 11am and was not able to check in early, but the receptionist was kind and let use drop off our bags and said would text us if our room was ready early. It wasn’t ready until the actual check in time sadly. Overall, I was disappointed by the hotel. The room itself was very oddly placed and old looking. There wasn’t even an outlet by the bed and all the other few outlets didn’t have international sockets. The sink handle would leak, the shampoo, conditioner, and soap were all in reusable bottles from the $1 store that had no affect. The breakfast was disgusting. Undercooked and raw dough, old juice, and overall limited options. Even the elevator was dirty. Highly recommend other nearby hotels...
