I stayed 3 nights here with my daughter. I chose the hotel as it was described as a “boutique “ hotel and because of its location.|The only good thing I can say is the location is excellent, it being in Old Plovdiv.|When I finally reached the hotel having driven from Sofia airport I was met with the owner who was in my view what can only be described as “miserable”.|Our first conversation concerned the parking of my hired car. Having asked him where I could park the car he became animated when I asked him to repeat it! In his irritated state he insisted he park my car. This was our first conversation and I was just taken a back by his rudeness. It left me feeling that if I had been male I would not have been spoken in the same fashion.|After this incident it got worse. We both went in and he asked me for my passport. That was not an issue however in my bid to find my passport I placed my handbag on his desk. He immediately shouted I remove it. Again I was stunned at his behaviour and removed my bag. I then apologised so as to keep the peace. He then asked for my credit card and again that was not an issue. He then proceeded to take the full amount for the three nights there and then. Again I was left quite surprised at his behaviour but said nothing. He did not explain to me that it would cost a little more as I was paying by credit card.|We were then shown our room. In all my years I’ve never stayed in a hotel room without a single window. There was not even 1 in the bathroom!(Room 102) I did not complain after the behaviour I had just experienced.|In the morning we went to have breakfast. There were hardly any guests and plenty of table to sit at but were not given the choice!|We then saw there was sliced meat which we don’t eat. We were given boiled eggs but not asked how we would like our eggs.|It was very clear to me that what we wanted was not important. Where we wanted to sit was not important. The whole place was bizarrely run!|I could not wait to leave! I cannot recommend this hotel. And if I had complained who could I have told other than the owner...
Read moreI came to this hotel today planning to have lunch at their restaurant and spend good money on a nice meal. Instead, what I experienced was verbal abuse, physical aggression, and a complete disregard for basic hospitality.
As soon as I walked in and greeted the staff politely, the owner, Boris, immediately started yelling at me and trying to force me out of the building. When I asked why he was treating me this way, he became even more hostile. Shockingly, he then tried to physically push me out and hurled constant profanity at me.
Things escalated further when he suddenly punched me in the face without provocation. I defended myself, and after a brief struggle he ended up on the ground. At that point I asked his staff to restrain him so he wouldn’t attack me again, and I left immediately to report the incident to the police.
I know this might sound unbelievable, but please check the other reviews - there’s a clear pattern pointing to this man’s uncontrolled anger issues. My advice - avoid this place entirely. Not only is it unsafe, but you’re also risking being verbally or physically attacked by the...
Read moreVery Scary Place! BEWARE!! My wife and I were walking around Old Plovdiv, and decided to stop for a cup of coffee, We entered the establishment and at first sight it was empty. We notice a elderly man by the name of Boris and a woman who was sitting behind a desk, at first everything was normal, and we ordered a 2 normal cups of coffee, after drinking the "Lavazza" Cups of coffee which was incredibly small, I used the restroom, after doing so we decided to pay and we were charge 10 leva total! 5 Leva for each cup of coffee.
We asked why are the prices so high for coffee which is normally 80c, and all hell broke loose! I have never seen a person change from calm to crazy in 2 secs.
Boris started insulting us, Through our money back at us, threatened to kick my wife in the head, He insulted me by saying my wife is my mistress, walked towards us with aggression, putting his hands on me as I stood in front of my wife to protect her from Boris and the woman or girl behind the desk look extremely terrified of Boris. This person is extremely abusive towards customers.
