I avoid making negative reviews as much as possible, but sometimes a place proves to be consistently so dissapointing and unpleasant, that you feel obligated to speak up. And Central Perk has unfortunately done that every single time we're here. (You'd ask why we come back and you'd be correct in doing so.... there are simply no decent alternatives that we know of in center city. )
Not only is the quality of the food and drinks FAR FAR FAR bellow the level of their prices, but worst, there is a nasty attitude in the service culture here, regardless of who's working that day. The bar and service staff are straight up rude, uninterested or irritataed, snappy, and any requests orcfeed bac on the subpar service are answered with scoffs and short tempered remarks (thinking we don't understand Bulgarian)...
It's just an expensive, smelly, and very unfriendly tourist trap.
And that's ignoring the illegal blatant plajurism of the brand. I suppose that should be the...
Read moreThis is my second time here, so I have made sure my opinions about this place is true, and isn't just simply a mistake by one of the staff.
I ordered Hot Rachael and Hot Fudge Browny, they both tasted amazing and I'd definitely give this place a perfect 5/5 if it wasn't for the staff.
They're not inviting the conversation what so ever, and won't even acknowledge you. It really bothered me because both these times they make me and my group very uncomfortable. I assume this is just how it works, but if you're sitting on the second floor, they won't check on you so you'll have to walk downstairs to let them know what you want. There's cameras, so they're still fully aware.
The atmosphere is great, everything they serve is amazing, but the staff is the worst I've seen in a long time so it's a...
Read moreThe place seems lovely at first but the music is way too loud, the playlist consists of 5 house remix songs played on repeat, the table was suspiciously sticky and if you want to order anything you best go to the bartender because it's unlikely to get noticed by the waiters if you have to be on the second floor. Speaking of which one waiter keeps running around doing their best to carry drinks and keep track of the orders. The others walks in and out doing god knows what. The poor bartender has to rush making orders and can't even wash the pile of cups and dishes that get brought back. First of all if you can't keep the second floor clean, if the staff can't clean dishes and take orders hire more people because the level of cleanliness and the service...
