We travelled as a group of 5 and rented 2 rooms for 3 nights Jan 25-28/18. The rooms were a great price, clean and as advertised. We even received a free upgrade for one of our rooms to a 3 bed, 2 bathroom double room, which was a nice surprise. The staff was helpful and trustworthy. They arranged our tickets/transportation for a Sunset Firefly Cruise ($5 USD/person) and our bus tickets to Phnom Penh ($7 USD/person). On our first day I spent a few hours walking through town trying to find somewhere that would rent us scooters for a cash deposit as opposed to leaving our passports as collateral, but discovered nowhere in town would do this, so we ended up renting through the Guesthouse and only had to leave one passport. We only had to walk about 15 min to get here from where our mini bus dropped us off. Our first day we hired a tuk tuk for the day for around $30USD (since I wasted too much time trying to find a scooter rental) to visit Sothy’s Pepper Farm, visit Kep and have a crab dinner at Magic Crab Restaurant and visit the salt flats on the way back and on our second day we rented the scooters and drove up...
Read moreTook a double queen bed room. |Okay generally, but the lights were very weak and the trash can in the bathroom was full of previous guests trash. |The staff only know rudimentary English, and for any non trivial questions will call the owner, who isn't too good at this either. |Power cuts off whenever you remove the key, which is standart, but it also means no power to the fridge so don't rely on it much. |The terrace is actually a balcony at the end of the corridor. |Honestly the location is bad- you need to walk for a while through unlit alleys with no sidewalk or drainage for anything interesting. You are much better off going somewhere either south of the Durian or on the west bank...
