Dynsey Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Khan Daun Penh

This hotel is in a good central location. They arranged a taxi to pick us up at the airport and there were no problems checking in. The room was nothing like the official pictures. It didn't have a window. |There was plenty of hot water and a large bed as well as a fridge and a kettle. There was also a safe but there was a problem with that which took several of the staff over an hour to sort out. The room was cleaned on the first day but not on the second. |We were there for 3 nights and it was OK for a short stay and we weren't in the room much but it did feel a bit like claustrophobic with no window.|The staff were polite and they did sort out the safe problem and called when we were waiting to be picked up for our next destination. |On the whole it was OK but the pictures are deceiving. |I should also say their online booking refers to breakfast bein available. Be aware of the street this hotel is in. The location is central, near many restaurants and the royal palace, but the street itself is home to many old men looking for young girls (who stay in the hotel for long periods). The rooms are decent and spacious, the staff is very friendly, and your room can be cleaned during your stay if you like. However, it’s not very clean as the walls are covered in stains and there are holes in the walls. It’s a decent hotel for the price, just be aware of the location. I booked this hotel for a friend last week - booked for a week and paid $10 deposit with a receipt for the room he wanted. He turned up yesterday and was given a cheaper room and told he had to find somewhere else for two days as they were booked. The reception staff pretended not too understand english and would not provide the booked room. Just so happens the Water Festival started today and it appears they got a higher paying customer for a few days but that is not good enough. I have quite a few friends who stay there for a month and they will not be returning in future. Idiots...
