The Parrot — Hotel in Khan Daun Penh

In regards to a restaurant/bar, it's just another one of many on the street aimed at expats primarily and the odd tourist. The food and drink menu is the same as most along the street, with prices on par. I've only eaten there once, and it was ok, but nothing spectacular....standard pub grub. The service I received was weird....the first lady was super nice and took my food and drinks order. However, while she was gone and I was taking photos of the menu, another female staff member approached and asked (not in a hospitable way) "Why you take so many photos....are you going to order???" I advised her o had already ordered, and my photos are for your benefit as I write Google Maps' reviews. I then felt uncomfortable taking more photos....so I didn't. Neither will I return as there are better restaurants/bars within spitting distance, who I'm sure will appreciate the free...

Dropped by for a night out and it definitely wasn’t dull. Decent vibe overall — billiards, sports on the screens, and plenty of energy in the room.

Now, the beer? A bit watery, which was unexpected in Cambodia of all places. And somehow, I ended up paying for an extra drink I never ordered. Not the end of the world, but not great either.

On the flip side, the real entertainment wasn’t the football on TV… it was the crowd. Let’s just say the “ladies of a certain age” here were lively and seemed more interested in us than the match. If attention is what you’re after, this is your spot.

Fun in its own way, but between the surprise charge and the drinks, I’ll get my future cougar sightings...

Cannot say enough good things about this place. I've been coming to and have stayed at nearly every place in Riverside for the last ten years and The Parrot beats them all HANDS DOWN. Great service. Great staff, big screen tv's playing all kinds of sport. Pool tables, excellent food and super clean rooms. Coldest beer in Phnom Penh. You literally can't go wrong here...There are just 0 negatives, which is a really difficult thing to say about almost any establishment...also the location is amazing. St. 172, in the heart of all the action you might want but* with a cool relaxed atmosphere...which cannot* be said about other places...
