When we arrived at the hotel, we felt we were disturbing the man from the day staff who had to get up from his couch to make our check-in. On the morning after, when we asked him two cups to put hot water for coffee, he told us to go and buy them, without moving from his couch. When later we asked him toilet paper cause there never was in the room, he didn't move from his couch and told us to ask him again in the afternoon (when we did, he gave us less than half a roll and told us that was all he had). About the room: it's creepy, dirty, noisy from the streets and neighbours (some holes in the wall communicate with the corridor, so no privacy), there were ants and flying bugs when we arrived, and a weird plastic in a corner that seems a used condom (we didn't touch it to check as it was disgusting). On the last night, they left the lights on in the corridor. With the holes in the wall, the light was entering the room and we almost didn't sleep. A hell of hotel! We are travelling for 7 months with very low budget, so we are used to cheap hotels. This is the first one with so poor quality and service. And we shouldn't have to pay more for a smile from the staff!

Found on Agoda & got reasonable price for private room. There was no ac, which was hard, but it was good price, it was pretty quiet, safe, stairs for good exercise, location near stores, river and ice dessert spot, near night market and fruit market. I didn’t enjoy Phnom Penh, especially the scam massage shops, but if I had to stay here, I’d come back to Pich. The owner was friendly. Be really, really careful about damaged or old US dollars 💵 Cus no one accepts them, one girl even got a bad one from an atm & ironically, the banks try to pass off “bad bills” so you have to check every bill with a microscope 🔬😂

I stayed in a 16 person dorm for 2 nights. To put it plainly, not the comfiest of stays but to be expected for the price. Our room was filled with a bunch of older men, some who thought it alright to smoke in the toilets and stink up the whole place. It isn't luxury but fine if you're willing to put up with some discomfort. Overall, I think it's luck of the draw in terms of who you get sharing your dorm room. At the end of the day it was cheap and in a central spot so i won't complain!
