Noodles 33 — Restaurant in Khan Daun Penh

At USD1.88, this plate of noodles was a cheap treat compared to other food places. It's located in a row of similar restaurants serving local Cambodian dishes. First time tasting local dish, and i was surprised that the noodles were not seasoned (practically tasteless) but the meat was seasoned - so am glad i ordered the option with meat! Otherwise it wld be a rather bland meal. Very fast service, and portion was ok. A good place to go if you just want to fill the tummy. Simple, affordable and delicious. The menu consists of Cambodian noodles, Chinese noodles or fried rice with a variety of all the usual mixes.

Prices are between $1 and $2 for most all the meals and to refresh the soul there are jugs of tea with glasses on every table, as well as all the local drinks available if you prefer something like a coconut or a beer.

The only issue is finding them, as the restaurant is nestled between two other places that look similar and the name is not...

The marinade they use for the beef is reeeeaally tasty! I don't think they speak any English but they're very efficient, food is served within minutes and lots of condiments on the table. Combined with the really low price and I think it'd be hard to beat this place in Phnom Penh.
