Golden Temple Hotel is a True Gem in Siem Reap for an unforgettable stay. We spent a full week at the Golden Temple Hotel, and I can honestly say it ranks among the best experiences I've had while traveling. As someone who’s stayed in many hotels across different countries, I was truly impressed by the outstanding level of service and quality offered here. Everything was simply impeccable. Our Twin Bed room was beautifully designed, spacious, and extremely comfortable. The attention to detail in the decor and layout made it a relaxing space to return to every day. Housekeeping was meticulous and done daily with great care. The only minor downside was the walk-in shower, which lacked a handheld showerhead. A small inconvenience for those with long hair, but it hardly detracted from the overall excellence of the room. The pool and restaurant areas were just as inviting, designed to encourage relaxation and a true sense of escape. The food was excellent, with an impressive variety, especially at the breakfast buffet. We were lucky enough to enjoy a complimentary lunch, and the chef’s dishes were absolutely sublime and worthy of a fine-dining restaurant. Each plate was full of flavor and beautifully presented. One of the hotel's greatest strengths is its exceptional team. Every staff member we interacted with was professional, warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. A special thanks to Alice, who was incredibly helpful even before our arrival. Her support via WhatsApp was invaluable as she helped us craft the perfect itinerary: 3 days exploring Angkor Park, a full day at Kulen Mountain and the Roluos Group, an Apsara dinner show at Golden Temple Residence, and an evening at Phare, the Cambodian Circus. On top of that, we enjoyed numerous perks: a free 60-minute massage for each of us, a complimentary lunch, and vouchers for discounts at the bar, spa, and more. Heartfelt thanks also go to Diana, Daneth, Lyshun, Cicy and Karem, whose care and kindness made each day seamless and special. From thoughtful conversations to preparing a surprise fruit birthday cake (even though my birthday had already passed), their gestures deeply moved us. We were even gifted traditional kramas at the end of our stay. Such a beautiful way to conclude the experience that made us emotional! Thank you as well to Sam and Roth in the restaurant, both incredibly kind and professional, they made every meal a delight. The massage team also deserves praise for their amazing skills. They worked wonders on our sore muscles after long days of exploring. A special mention to Bon Chem, our guide arranged by the hotel. He was extraordinary: knowledgeable, insightful, and deeply respectful of the cultural and spiritual significance of each site. He guided us through Angkor, Roluos and Kulen Mountain with the perfect balance of history, realism, and calm, always making sure we had the space to enjoy everything at our own pace. I do recommend him if you stay there ! Ask for him, you won’t regret it 🙏🏻 Finally, a sincere thank you to our drivers and all the behind-the-scenes staff whose names we didn’t catch, your efforts didn’t go unnoticed. In summary, this stay was truly magical. The value for money is incredible considering the services and benefits provided. The Golden Temple Hotel is a reliable, professional and peaceful oasis. I live in Cambodia and will definitely return with family and friends for future holidays. Golden Temple Hotel is an...

We instantly felt a part of the family, so welcome and our every whim and wish was taken care of.
From when we first booked, the communication from the team and especially from the amazing Alice in Wonderland was astounding. We opted for a package that included various temple visits, a cooking class and a trip to the floating village, and on top of that we had a special dinner provided and a wonderful hot stone massage in the incredible spa.
Our tour guide Som was unbelievable - he was so generous with his time and his knowledge. Taking a private guide to the temples on your first visit makes the whole thing so much easier, it is so worth it, from the transport (in this case in a nice air-conditioned van), the in-depth knowledge of not just the temples and the history but the shortcuts and the busy bits to avoid, but he is happy to suggest what's worth the trouble. We had many good chats about Cambodia and it's history, he provided fantastic dining suggestions, and truly loves his job and his home country and it comes across in spades.
Back at the Hotel, the room was beautiful, clean and roomy. We had mentioned our anniversary and Alice went above and beyond - turning our room in to a romantic and sentimental paradise with photos, flower petals and towel swans. Fresh fruit on our arrival was incredible. The staff all made us feel really welcome and special for our special occasion. Plenty of clean drinking water provided and more for a reasonable price with the mini bar.
The Pool is stunning. Gorgeous and clean, the towels and lounges are plentiful and well stocked and serviced.
The restaurant! Plenty of western options but the highlight is the fancy twist on Khmer food. Delicious and seems really authentic to me. Again, the staff is the real highlight - the service is incredible. Everyone welcomes with a warm and genuine smile and they are all incredibly pleased to help and serve. Breakfast was excellent with both a le carte and buffet options - both are absolute winners.
We had hot stone massage in the spa and it was beautiful. I usually get pretty anxious about that kind of thing but they made us feel incredibly welcome and calm. It was exactly what we needed after the long travel there. The Spa staff were again above-and-beyond.
The location again is wonderful. No sign of street noise from our room, but the hotel steps out into the perfect spot for a quick walk to all the action of Pub Street, plenty of excellent bars and restaurants and anything you could need, plenty of tuk-tuks on the doorstep for anything a bit further afield.
All in all, this trip to Siem Reap was the highlight of our holiday, and that's in no small part because of Alice, Som and the rest of the Golden Temple...
Read moreWe enjoyed our recent stay at Golden Temple. First the good parts: location is great, not far from Pub Street, good shopping, and pretty much all necessities are in walking distance ( ATM, grocery, shopping, restaurants). Staff are really helpful, especially Bunsot the assistant manager who we had the most interaction with. He consistently tried to make sure all of our needs were met within the hotel, and when we ventured out of it. . They should all be commended for trying so hard to make guests feel welcome. You are greeted with a welcome drink, snacks, and a towel to clean your hands. The pool looked great, but we didn’t try it because we had a number of excursions. They have happy hour special that we intended to try, but didn’t, and breakfast for a very reasonable price that we didn’t try either so I can’t speak to the taste or variety. The rooms are well sized, clean & attractive. The sculptures & art in the hotel corridors etc is really lovely & aesthetically chosen. I will try to add some pictures. This wowed us as we walked in. We visited the sister hotel for a Aspara dinner show ( you can skip this and find it cheaper outside the hotel and possibly with hot food) and it was also beautifully decorated. They have a spa insight that gave me the best scrubs and massage that I’ve ever had!!! I reserved a 60 minute pedicure that said it included a foot massage. I didn’t get 60 minutes OR the foot massage, but the young lady was so sweet that I didn’t bother saying anything. I had just received such an invigorating full body massage that did give my feet a bit of attention. You won’t go wrong staying here. If I ever return to Siam Reap I would book here again! My only negative observation is they need to put a filtration system in their pond. It’s filthy and it takes away from the beautiful serene aesthetic of...
