Sometimes it pays to take your children’s advice. When we made our first visit to Dawson City a week ago, we stayed at Juliette’s Manor. My son and daughter in law live in Dawson City and they had recommended it.| |We had a delightful stay. Patricia (who prefers “Trish”) is the innkeeper that all travelers hope for. She has a wealth of knowledge about Dawson City and the northern Yukon as well. Her descriptions of the land, its history and its people, including the people of the First Nations, gave us a sense of what living in the Yukon is really like. The B&B has a number of books in the main parlor that provide additional information on the Gold Rush that made the Yukon famous and which continues as Dawson City’s primary industry today. Trish gave us excellent advice on where to go to get the most knowledgeable tour guides for the gold fields.||Juliette’s Manor has four guest rooms that are comfortable, quiet and spotless. One of the rooms has an in-suite bath and the three other rooms share two bathrooms in the main hall. There is a coin laundry, a hot tub and a sauna (neither of which was open at the beginning of June) and a large terrace. Free Wi-Fi is provided as well.||The breakfast that Trish serves will carry you well into the afternoon before you feel a need to eat anything else. She sets up special breakfasts for each day of the week, such as Salmon Sunday and Waffle Wednesday. Several shelves in the refrigerator are set aside for the guests to use if desired. Everything we were served was absolutely delicious.||Juliette’s Manor is located on 7th Avenue, which should impress your New York friends, and it’s an easy walk to Robert Service’s Cabin and Jack London’s cabin, both of which are on 8th Avenue and both of which are worth visiting, as is the Dawson City Museum about three blocks away.||The main part of town is an easy walk. If you are doing things in Dawson City, you can probably leave your car parked at the manor.||I can’t imagine staying anywhere else when we...
Read moreMy wife and I arrived in Dawson City for the first time, not sure if we would get a room after a 500 KL drive we booked in advance. We stayed at Juliette's Manor because I was hurting for a hip replacement we booked a room with a bathroom. We were told it was the honeymoon suite but this was a joke, it was a 10 x 12 room with two queen beds in this space, only a few feet between beds was all the extra room we had. The breakfast was dry waffles with burnt sausages & a glass of orange juice & coffee. The next morning was a continental breakfast consisting of one sliced orange and cereal & toast. No fruit to speak of. My wife and I were upset with paying 155.00 for a honey moon suite with 2 queens and paying 50.00 extra for a bathroom attach to bedroom. My wife and I felt the breakfast's were of very poor quality.
We write this review for anyone else booking the honey moon suite are aware of the conditions of both room & food.

Read moreThis is an awesome B&B. We canoed into Dawson down the Yukon River and arrived a few days earlier than planned so needed a place to stay without a booking. All the phones and wifi in town were down and we had no cash but Trish took us at our word and let us stay when none of the other hotels in town were even able to check if they had rooms available. Trish is super accommodating and went out of her way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfasts were super tasty with lots of fresh fruit and hearty portions and good coffee. We enjoyed chatting with Trish while we hung out in the common area and learned lots of great things about life in the north, and she had tons of good recommendations about places to go in Dawson. The rooms are very clean and cozy and she offered a safe dry place for us to store our extra canoe tripping gear. Wifi works great. 10/10 recommend staying here, we were genuinely sad to...
