Back in the 80’s, affectionately called in french “Les Foufs”, the venue was to Montreal what CBGB was to Manhattan in the late 70’s. The music was loud, beer was cheap and mohawks were dangerously spiky, to say the least. To the sound of Skinny Puppy, Bauhaus and Siouxsie and the Banshees, with my good friend Mark and way too many beers, this is where I celebrated my first car, a ruined-down AMC Renault Alliance that barely made it through the winter. Nowadays, I go back occasionally so to remember the spirit, reminisce with my old punker friends still working on their art projects since the 80’s, check out if my graffiti still entertain the toilets and hope the impossible mini-putt course that was under the stairs would one day rise from the graveyard. The venue, which was back then barely the size of a trunk, is now set over several floors, and might be a tad touristy (but a legend is a legend, so I’ll close my eyes on this last fact). With plenty of indoor and outdoor seating area, a mezzanine and 2 showrooms, you can still chill over affordable beer, and later, when the beer-buzz hits the right spot, pogo-slam your way across the dance floor and yell at everybody that you were one of the originals !... Or just show-off and pretend… Is punk dead ? No, it just got more comfortable and...

It bills itself as having a "punk rock vibe." But nope. It's like a plastic, "Hot Topic," merch vibe. It's trying too hard for punk, an aesthetic it clearly has no notion how to be. It isn't even mocking such a vibe. It just can't pull it off.

Still. The seating is generous, the service is great on this Saturday night, they're cool with service dogs (tho, unlike in the US u must show papers, something that feels weird to me... people with disabilities shouldn't have to carry papers unlike everyone else, but they were nice about it). The location is lovely... you are right on the middle of everything.

They don't serve food here, only beer, but not too much compared to everywhere else. I'm paying $5.50 a pint for Belgian white... even if it is shock top... a ( ... Yech) Budweiser faire. Not bad tho. Clean taps tonight. They let you bring food from outside in. So bring some, and have a pint.

Did I say the servers are really great? They're working hard and friendly anyway. They should all...

I went there for my first time on March 16th 2018. It was a terrific experience, the staff is really mean. I did not drink the whole night, and I was waiting at the door for my brother to get his jacket and suddenly the bouncer at the door (he is Mexican with tattoos) did not like that I took a picture with my friend so he threw my phone on the brick wall. I was shocked to see that kind of brutality and immorality coming from a bouncer when I seriously did nothing wrong. I did not even talk to him. After the act, he told me that I was not allowed of taking a picture of myself, because he doesn't like it. My phone is now broken. It is sad to see something like that coming from a bouncer without a real reason. It will be the first and last time going there, and will be contacting the owner of the place. If I could I would give...

I've been looking for a place with rock concerts and local bands for a while now. This is definitely the place. The audience seemed to be over 30, but I went to a Pearl Jam cover show, so don't take that unique experience as a basis for the audience that frequents the place. But the atmosphere is really cool. On the second floor where the show is taking place, there are some free arcade games, as well as a pool table and a table football. The sound is really good, and the quality of the bands that played was incredible!!!! The only thing that wasn't perfect for me was the delay in starting the shows. This, in particular, frustrated me a little, but it didn't detract from the quality of the connection at all. However, for the next show, I'll be prepared for some delay.
