Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Osoyoos

I rarely leave bad reviews because I'm normally extremely patient with service staff and their plights, but this place took the cake. There were a few items that were off during our encounter.

We originally tried to come in to order, the dining room is still not open? It's dangerous to walk through a drive through, but we tried anyway, but the intercom didn't activate when we said hello or anything. We got in the vehicle and decided we would drive through instead.

We tried to order a 1/4 lb bacon cheeseburger, or a number 1 combo. The staff didn't know the number, didn't know what burger we tried to order and we had to repeat 3 or 4 times. When we got to the order window, it wasn't a combo. She didn't provide the fries and said we didn't order a combo. The burger was made super messily.

One of our group ordered a moolatte, the staff didn't ask which flavour and when we got to the window she handed us a vanilla moolatte and the person in our group asked why it wasn't darker and asked if they had other flavours and the staff member said they didn't carry other flavours. The moolatte tasted like banana, so it seemed we were given a banana smoothie or something?

The staff seemed impatient and didn't want to fix anything that seemed like issues. There was quite a bit of attitude even when ordering. Your door says no grouchy people, maybe that should apply to staff as well?

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if this business was shuttered next time we travel through, the service is poor and the staff don't seem to really care about the work...

2022: There are new owners just recently, and so far I have been in several times. Always friendly, fast service , and the interior looks nice clean and also the bathrooms look great! I also like that its quiet when dining in. (Note the prior owners during the last few years were exceptionally wonderful and I missed making a review during their time. But they did have music on a bit too loud for my ears, just a minor issue for me tho..). Anyway, moving on : Lets give lots patience and respect to these newest proprietors of Dairy Queen in Osoyoos!

2016: I have tried this food at this locating probably half a dozen times, and it always looked and tasted very good. The $6 meal deal is the best deal in town, for what you get! The service is only slow when they are swamped with customers, otherwise at regular times the food is served as soon as it comes from the grill (and they bring it to your table!) . PS I dont understand people who complain about seniors who run a business..the town of Osoyoos is mostly seniors and most of them have to make a...

This is hands down the worst dq I've ever been to, i moved to osoyoos about 7 mths ago from a bigger city and was very happy to see there was a dq here in osoyoos as its by far my fav goto fast food but omg have I ever been disappointed. Whether its a shortage of staff ie: Literally 1 staff member during high volume times, or no staff member to be found anywhere in the restaurant or kitchen as my gf and I stood waiting to order for over 5mins until I poked my head in the kitchen and called "hello" multiple times b4 anyone responded. And the food is Terrible I've worked in all levels of restaurants for the last decade and a half and know for a fact the cheeseburgers are microwaved, the onion rings, fries and gravy is often cold and or stale and the blizzards are so poorly mixed there are no bits of anything past the halfway mark. Like I said im disappointed in all aspects of this establishment and wish it wasn't so, as like I said I love dq but it looks like ill only be eating it on trips...
