If Google did half-stars I would do 3.5 out of 5. The pods themselves are stylish, cozy, and very Instagram-worthy. The atmosphere the hosts have created is tranquil and romantic. The pod experience itself would have earned 5 stars, but I had to take off stars for value and my personal experience with some admin issues before and during our stay. For me, the biggest drawback is the price. You're paying a premium price but not necessarily getting a premium experience when it comes to customer service and offered amenities vs other accommodations in Tofino or other island glamping experiences. If you're well off or can only afford one vacation a year, go in the summer. If you're an islander or a bit more thrifty, go in the winter. I also have a personal preference as someone who loves Tofino storm season and winter surfing. You can also save money by staying in one of the pods that have a view of the dock. That would be my option to stay in if I ever decide to book another trip. But honestly, that's a big IF depending on whether or not the owners make the much needed administrative updates. I love that it's run by a couple, but clearly, the demand for these pods has grown too overwhelming for two people to handle. Trying to use our gift certificate was a bit of a headache. You couldn't use it online and the owners were not the easiest people to get a hold of. We also had an incident where the key to our pod snapped off inside the door on the inside lock. Firstly, have a door that locks like this from the inside is not safe. Second, it took the owners almost two hours to get back to us. Thankfully, by then we had already figured how to re-open the door thanks to some tweezers and sheer determination. The owners then reprimanded us for not following their "policy" to call them back multiple time if there was an emergency because of the volume of calls they receive. To me, this is not a good policy. A much easier solution would to be have one number for general inquiries/new bookings and a separate number for current guests to use in order to be able to contact them more easily.

Dismayed to read the negative reviews here as we did not have that experience at all. We stayed in the WAVE pod and really enjoyed our stay ! The communication with the owners was clear and precise and if you read all the information provided to you via email and text, you will have no problem ! And they are available during your stay and are very quick to respond. We felt very safe and secure and we liked it that way ! The pod itself was amazing. We were there first week in April and it was very quiet. We might have been the only guests. The pod was nice and toasty when we arrived, we actually turned off the heaters for a bit. In the evening when there was a chill in the air, we turned on the fireplace and added the very warm blanket onto the bed and had a great and comfortable sleep. The shower in the bathroom had great water pressure and immediate hot water. We had no issues with our toilet. Only recommendation is maybe another little shelf to place your toothbrush etc. The little kitchenette included a fridge and coffee which is all we needed. They even provided a small container of creamer in the fridge ! The pod is very spacious. Seating outside the pod on the water, and seating inside too, although it would be nice to have a second comfy armchair in the pod. (It has two dinette chairs, dinette table and one armchair) It was a wonderful experience to stay at the Wildpod Tofino. Worth the drive from Victoria !

One of the most unique experience and stays one can ever have. Located well with scenic view to the ocean. Pods smartly well designed and each have about 5 meter long window to the heaven view. We absolutely loved the the experience and enjoyed every second. Pete was very nice guy (had communications over text). Bath and body products were also very well selected. Place is very clean, and each pod has its own privacy. We feel so lucky to have this experience. The place is adults only and no pets. Quiet time 10pm-8am Some improvement idea: 1.Bathroom has serious drain issue. I understand it has sensitive plumbing however it was worse than that. I will exclude shower time from my perfect experience in this place. 2.We loved the fireplace. It was absolutely easy to use and well decorated. However it could get very noisy over the night. So we had to turn it off to sleep. 3.Wifi speed was not good. Yes we didn’t want to have any connection outside. But when you provide wifi I expect to get a good one.

We stayed in the Rock unit which is the most expensive unit but also the nicest setting. It is on the quieter end next to the woods, so abit more private. Also it has an outstanding view of the water (some of the other units face the marina more than the open water) I also like that this unit has its own outdoor fire pit, I am not sure if the other units do. We stayed off season when rates were lower and we were blessed with sunshine everyday even though it was February. This is pure luck as in this area it can sometimes rain for days straight this time of year. With the blue skies we really enjoyed the view and the fire pit. We found it easy to stay warm enough as there is a propane fireplace, and 3 rotating tower space heaters inside. The only issue is if you use the space heater near the kitchen at the same time as the microwave and or kettle you might pop a breaker. So best to unplug that space heater while using kitchen to be safe. Having said that the hosts were quick to respond and help with any issues or questions as they arose. For instance we wanted to sit outside on the wooden chairs to enjoy our fire pit, but they were damp. There were no chair pads provided and I didnt want to get the nice linens or pillows wet..so we messaged the hosts and their cleaning lady dropped off some old towels for us. This was all we needed. It would have been nice to have a small folding table to take outside to the fire pit. There are wide arm rests on the Adirondack chairs but we wanted to play a board game outside so we couldn’t do that without a small table. But that is a minor issue. I suppose we could have sent a request but it wasn’t that important to us. My only concern is that the pods are not at all sound proof so you will hear the other guests right next door. The first night we had a very very noisy couple next door..they were having so much fun and laughing a long while but they did quieten down by 10pm. It was more just abit annoying. Had it continued past ten we would have contacted the hosts to have it dealt with, but thankfully it did not and after that all was fine. I think perhaps guests could be reminded that the pods are not sound proof and out of respect to other guests to please try to keep your voices down a little. I am not sure if the other guests are really aware just how clearly we could hear them. I am a little concerned these pods might be too hot in the summer without air conditioning. The only opening is the door ..and a couple small vents on the ceiling..so I cant really imagine that it would be cool enough for my preference in the summer, but we are all different. For off season it was fine and not hard to keep warm. A nice thick grey blanket is provided that we were able to use outside by the fire but if there were two blankets one for each of us that would be nice. The bed linens, towels, soaps, were all good. There was no dish soap while we stayed but we managed and didnt bother asking for any as it wasn’t that important we just used some of the body soap from the dispenser in the shower to wash dishes. The coffee provided is great and a small amount of cream. There is a toaster and small microwave and bar fridge. We felt perhaps a small love seat and coffee table would have been nicer than a kitchen table and two chairs but to each their own. We often sat up in bed as it was more comfortable than the two dining chairs…so a small love seat would be our preference but again not a big deal. Overall a great place to stay and I will recommend to friends and have already. We also like that it is gated with a code and secure for parking. By the way you can easily walk to the Savary Island Pie Company and it has...
