The Cobalt Cabaret is a classic underground-style venue that delivers a raw, energetic atmosphere, especially if you're into live music and local bands. It’s one of those spots where the vibe really depends on the night and when it's good, it's really good. The crowd is lively and diverse, and the space has a gritty charm that fits the East Van music scene. Drinks are reasonably priced, and the layout makes for an up-close-and-personal concert experience.

Nicely remodeled, clean washrooms! For the most recent show I went to, there were no chairs, so keep that in mind when going. The PA system is good but distorts if the person working the soundboard decides to crank it up. I would say in general it's the band's fault because either the bass or the guitar is too loud on stage. The local beers they serve are reasonably priced for a club. A large IPA was $9. 12 oz cans of beer/cider were less.

Intimate music venue on Main for local DJs and bands. We saw Tep No yesterday. Venue was perfect in every way. Intimate. Perfectly lit with blue and purple hues. Decent sound system. For the "die-hard" followers of a specific group of music lovers. They'll find community of their niche scene here, as least we did last night 👌I hope this venue lives on, exactly as it is, forever ♾️

For anyone looking to see shows or whatever, if something catches your eye, by all means go if you're so inclined. But know that this is not considered a good place to be for the crowd that frequents this place. So if you go, don't EVER leave your drink unattended for the smallest bit of time. My friend was here last night and had a REALLY bad night despite only having a couple drinks. He remembers nothing and (luckily) came home with only a bruise and a couple bleeding scrapes. But the rest of his night at home was not good and he clearly wasn't a are of what was going on even at the time, let alone when he was pulled together.

So be careful here. And if anyone has information about people lacing thing s Monday night, Feb 22, I would...

Came to this venue for the Broadway Rave last weekend. I don’t come to Vancouver often but this place from what I understand isn’t in the best area of town. Parked my car on the street out front for the evening and had no issues. Venue is what you would expect a bit run down, sound system in there is super loud (buy the $2 earplugs if they are selling them at coat check which is $4 to check a coat no debit/credit but they have an ATM inside) the floor boards also move when ppl are jumping up and down which I...

Wow! It's amazing what they have done with the place! Gone are the days of shoes suctioning to sticky floors, washrooms with no locking doors and being afraid to touch anything. They have completely renovated while still keeping the layout we know and love, and keeping the vibe alive with great live music on stage. The washrooms are now very pleasant to be in, updated and clean, and every stall is floor to ceiling privacy! I don't get stuck to the floor and its super duper...
