My son has been wanting a chili burger for months and this place was supposed to have the best! Now I make a mean chili so I know what goes into one. Well we finally make the one hour trip and when he brings the meals back to the car he tells me for the two burgers and 1/2 cup of "chili fries" each it cost $50.00! Well the fries were covered in loose hamburger "dry" as a popcorn feet that seemed to have been sprinkled with chili powder and covered in red onions. The burgers were thick but the patties themselves were dry loose and tasteless, also covered with more dry hamburger chunks and chili powder, not once did I taste a kidney bean nor any moisture from a canned tomato. They tasted and smelled disgusting. Even my dog would not eat a peice of the burger. Needless to say we will never go back, nor would I reccommend this place to anyone else. If there had been a negative star they would have earned...

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience, specifically due to the behavior of one employee. She was an Asian woman with tattoos on the back of her neck and back. Her conduct was shockingly rude and completely unprofessional. I had been waiting for 15 minutes to pick up my food and politely asked her, “Could you please check if the food is ready? I’ve been standing here for quite a while. Thank you.” To my surprise, she responded, “Do I look like I work here for these things? It’s already busy, and I don’t think I look like a kitchen person, do I?” After saying this, she simply walked away without offering any assistance. I was genuinely stunned by this behavior. Such treatment of customers is unacceptable. I sincerely hope the management takes this matter seriously and addresses it appropriately. No one should be...

The burgers were yummy but a bit too saucy since they wrap it up when served. I understand the niche of wrapping it up but the burger gets soggy in transport, we had the Americana and the Oklahoma. The fries were a bit salty and the onion rings were a regretful overpriced choice. The batter they use for the onion rings wasn't thick but wasn't flavourful and held a lot of oil. Also I asked for some hot sauce and they didn't bring over a bottle but instead in a plastic container and they charged me for it. If they had told me that I wouldn't of gotten it, although it did give my burger (the Oklahoma) the bite and another note of flavour it needed.

The service wasn't great or quick considering we were the only ones there... went for lunch right at noon. They didn't seem ready even though...

Not sure why this wonderful local establishment isn’t getting higher rating! I’ve been picking up my takeouts here a couple of times during covid and their service and food have been excellent! The Lee’s honey dip spicy chicken burger is so good, we are happy to break our paleo diet just to inhale them! And their fries are seasoned well and super crispy, so are their onion rings - large size at only $4 each - I couldn’t even get these at that price when I was a kid a couple of decades ago 😂 Highly recommend!

It’s been a long time since I’ve been to the American Hotel but we stopped in for lunch and so glad we did! There’s a weekday lunch special that can’t be beat. Burger with fries and all the fixings and a beer for $20. For the first time ever I tried the vegan burger. Impossibly delicious….The burger connoisseur I was with lover her burger too. We had a fab gal serving us too. I will definitely be back for the food and to spend some time playing pinball they even have a stranger things machine.
