Hostal Uruhao — Hotel in Easter Island

Excellent Hostal Uruhao, located two steps from the center of Hanga Roa and close to the beach. A beatiful, well-kept garden full o flowers creates a wonderful silnce here. Rooms very clean, cleaned every day. Fantastic fresh breakfasts with juicy fruit. The owners deserve a special compliments! Sonia- a native resident, antropologist and archeologist with a honorary diploma from the University of Stockholm, a qwonderful person. Francis- a Spaniard from the Basque Country, but a citizen by choice and passion, the walking library of knowlege. Nico - their son turned out to be a great guide and storyteller. Before coming to Easter Island we red a lot of Rapa Nui, but what we learned from them could not be found in any book or the Internet. We fully recomend Hostal Uruhao. I definitely recommend staying at Hostal Uruhao. Very tasty breakfast, great location and good internet (after modernization). But most importantly, the wonderful owners, Francis - an enthusiast of the island and a walking mine of knowledge about it, and Sonia - a native of the island, an honorary doctorate at the University of Stockholm. Thanks to them and their son Nico - the island's guide, who passed on his knowledge to us in perfect English, we were able to get to know the island and its secrets much deeper than from the books we had read before our departure. È una struttura molto bucolica, immersa nella natura, con i suoi pro e contro. Io non lo avevo capito prima di prenotare. Vuol dire che ci sono galli, galline e pulcini che girano in giardino. Quando piove escono gli scarafaggi dalla terra e capita di trovarli davanti alla porta. Insetti in camera anche se si sta attenti, ma comunque entrano. Non è colpa della struttura, ma è qualcosa da tenere in mente quando si prenota. Noi abbiamo avuto una situazione particolare, perché i proprietari erano in ferie e c'era un'amica della proprietaria che la sostituiva. È quello che definirei un b&b, ci sono delle camere e poi la colazione si fa in quello che sembra tipo il soggiorno dei proprietari. Pro: camera spaziosa e pulita, viene pulita tutti i giorni (non avrei pensato) colazione è molto buona, fatta con ingredienti locali, non è a buffet ma si trova già sul tavolo.
