Hotel Piso 3 — Hotel in Providencia

This hotel must be a joke: We booked a room with breakfast, so far so good. But then breakfast was brought to us in the morning to our tiny room on a tray, with the information that we have to eat it in our room (it is worth mentioning that our room did not have a table nor two chairs, so I assume they expected us to have breakfast on the tray on our bed (not going to happen)).||So we took the tray outside to the hall and started eating on a table (as said, there was not even the slightest possibility for eating it in our tiny room). After two minutes a maid approached us and told us in Spanish that we should go back to our room with our breakfast tray, because we were not allowed to eat outside of our room (no kidding!).||When we later asked at the reception how we're supposed to eat breakfast in a room without a table and chairs, they said that "we're sure you'll find a solution" (no kidding).||Update: Turned out they were not allowed to serve breakfast outside the rooms for insurance reasons. Agreed, but then, to be fair, they should be open about this in the first place or not advertise the rooms with breakfast.||Other negative points:|- The reception area is very very tiny|- The staff does not speak English|- The bathroom is...

It was extremely easy to get to the hotel, just get off at the Tobalaba station and exit north, it's literally right outside the station. This makes it super easy to get around town from here, and it's near most of the touristy areas. The tallest skyscraper is two blocks away and there are a lot of great restaurants nearby.||||Can't beat the price for the location either.||||The rooms themselves are very nice, WiFi is awesome, breakfast was great.||||The only real negative is that there's quite a bit of noise. It's a small place and the furnace is on the other side of 306. A couple of the rooms share a bathroom so you frequently hear people in the hallway closing doors etc.. The kitchen is very close to the rooms and so early in the morning you hear the dishes stacking and such.||||If that doesn't bother you at all (and it doesn't really bother me) then by all means stay here. Staff was friendly and never once tried to rip me off in any way. They were good about getting me a cab to the airport and a wake up call in the middle...

PONTOS POSITIVOS:||A localização do hotel é de fato um dos pontos mais extraordinários, ao lado tem o Restaurante Liguria (muito bom), em frente esta a estação Tobalaba (Linha Vermelha), que isto faz toda a diferença em uma viagem, tem uma conveniência o e uma farmácia frente também e na esquina tem uma cafeteria, básica, mas legal. Agora o melhor de tudo é que fica alguns metros do Sky Costaneira e algumas quadras do Restaurante Giratório (excelente). A equipe do Hotel é muito simpática e sempre muito atenciosa quando foi solicitado algo. O sistema de café no quarto achei interessante, acaba sendo bem prático. Achei o quarto pequeno, porém, como não ficamos muito no hotel, foi algo aceitável. Obs: Em anexo tem fotos do quarto, do café da manhã, e as outras que tirei da porta do hotel para ter uma melhor noção da localização, dos locais próximos, pois quando pesquisei este hotel não encontrei muitas fotos.||||PONTOS NEGATIVOS: ||1º ) SISTEMA DE RESERVA: Primeiramente ao fazer a reserva não prestei atenção que alguns quartos, na verdade são apenas 2 quartos que tem o banheiro compartilhado no PISO 3, assim que percebi entrei em contato com o Hotel onde me informaram que no check in, se tivesse a disponibilidade de quartos com banheiros, eu poderia mudar. Assim que chegamos no hotel solicitei e não havia a disponibilidade de quartos no PISO 3, então pedi se podia mudar para outro e pagaria a diferença. Foi onde tive a surpresa, não poderia fazer isto, pois a minha reserva era do Hotel Piso 3 (literalmente) os outros andares se referia a outra propriedade, então não poderia pagar a diferença, tinha que fazer uma nova reserva, o que iria sair 2 x mais caro. 2º ) Uma sirene que toca no meio da madrugada, não sei de onde era, levamos um susto, a principio achei que era alarme de terremoto. Acabei não perguntando na recepção, mas ser despertado com uma sirene que toca por alguns minutos de madrugada, não é muito...
