Great decor in the lobby area, and a doorman opens the door for you. Location is great near stores, public transportation, and a very safe and walkable area. There was a conference at this hotel, but not busy. ||Restaurant was hit or miss, with a buffet style service. Many people seemed to come from outside the hotel to eat here.||There were 2 elevators for the guests, and 1 was out of service during our stay. Then the working one stopped working one day, and by chance I was coming from the street so I knew about it. They offered to use a service elevator, which I declined and used the stairs. On our floor, some people were waiting for the elevator but were unaware of the elevator not working, so I mentioned to them what was going on.|I used the stairs to go down most of the time, and the areas around it were not very nice to look at (stored mattresses, stuff of all kind).||The room was spacious facing the side street. Some noise was noticeable but it was overall a quiet area. The overall look and feel of the room was "tired" as in old and in need of a refresh or make-over. Our room door lacked a chain lock, which used to be there but it looks like it was yanked out and the damaged area was not repaired. ||Bathroom was also spacious, but they gave us only 3 towels for 2 people, total. The shower curtain was much longer than needed, so its lower part was sitting on the tub making it a safety hazard in a wet surface. The shower head needed repair or replacing, as there was little water coming out and still splashing water out of the tub. The sink had no cover whatsoever, and you could see a toothbrush stuck in the drain. The FIRST CLASS hair dryer was unremarkable, and took asking staff for help to turn it on.||There was an electric kettle in the closet, but it was beyond dirty and stained. The mini fridge in the room was locked and the key will not turn to open it. The ceiling lights over the desk did not work. There was a horrible and weird sound on and off coming from the vent below the AC unit, every time the AC was on.||We will be avoiding this hotel in our next visit...
Read moreWe are a young small family and only stayed for a night. Pros: bedroom is spacious pool is indoor sort of warm (but still found it a bit on the colder side). the lounge area looks stylish Neutral: reception is friendly (is expected) buffet : breakfast - it is not as they have advertised on their gallery and Instagram. Dinner - is good but not wow! Would be good to have more detailed labels of food and sides (with English version) Cons: for a "4 star" as it claimed, no complimentary refreshments like teas, bottled water. Moreover, mini toiletries things like Q-tips, cotton pad, toothbrush, comb, plastic haircut, lotion in the room. when we got in the room we only found 1 cleaned towel. Had to call reception to ask for more. pool area doesn't have beach/pool towels. Had to call reception 3 times to ask for more. And when they bring, they only brought 6 towels which gets taken in a flash. Would be nice also have a clock to be aware of the time. waiters at the restaurant aren't very attentive. Had to wait very long for hot water refill for teas. they should update their info in hotel sites like booking.com etc. Because they are outdated. Some of the services they offer listed no longer exist. Overall: it looks like a "4 star" due to the aesthetic design but the experience is...
Read moreStayed at the Park Plaza for three nights. The check-in was easy and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was a nice size as was the bathroom, but it was dated. Sheets and linens were clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel itself is within walking distance of the subway and less than 15 min walk to the Sky Costanera tower (and mall). It is also about 15 min to the nearest Hop-on Hop-off style bus tour stop that operates around the city.|There are a few things which find the hotel falling short of a higher score. The cleanliness of the pool itself (walls) and having the sauna not functional didn't help. The breakfast is a buffet style, and although there is a decent variety of foods for most styles the service area is cramped.|To finish on a positive note, I must express my pleasure with the front desk staff. Very helpful with information of the city, recommendations for restaurants and odd requests or questions. If you need a reasonable place to just rest and wash up before you hit the city, I would do this...
