First of all, the host (Ignacio) is the best! He always made sure that we had something to eat every time he saw us. I felt like I stayed at my uncle house not B&B. Breakfast was pretty good (Fresh bread, ham, cheese, coffee, juice, crackers, butter, and jam). Providencia Bed and Breakfast is located in a nice and safe neighborhood in Providencia. It's close to the Manuel Montt Metro station and Bus routes. There are 2 laundry matts and a supermarket just around the conner from the B&B. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes, and beer houses in the neighborhood. We stayed here for 2 days before heading out to Easter Island then came back and stayed here again for 2 more nights. We did a lot of walking to explored the area. It's about an hour and a half walk from the B&B to Virgen Cerro San Cristobal. It's about half an hour walk to through the park to the Chilean National Museum of Fine Arts, and about 15 - 20 minutes from there to Mercado Central and Plaza de Armas. Overall, we had a great time there. Nice and clean place with free breakfast and fast wifi, and an awesome host! Ignacio arranged the taxi for us to the airport for 18,000 pesos and 20,000 pesos to pick us back up from the airport which were very reasonable prices.

From the moment I contacted him to ask about room availability, he was so kind, caring, and supportive. He even recommended a great taxi driver Ruben to transport us from/to airport on several occasions. We had flown from Canada for 24 hours and allowed us to have an early check-in with LOTSSSS of coffee. It was the best thing ever. The room was sparkling clean and comfortable. The location was great because it was safe (we are two young women so safety is key) and close to everything so you could walk or take transportation that is super cheap!!!
He gave me recommendations about where to get SIM card, where to exchange money, places to visit, restaurants and food that I could try, and sent me messages to make sure I was okay or needed anything throughout my whole stay. We stayed with him on 2 different occasions and even contacted us when we were in another city to make sure we had a great time.
People visiting Santiago have many options between choosing Airbnb, hostels, hotels, etc. Staying with Ignacio is like visiting your family. Book with him and you won't regret it.

Read moreHighly recommend staying at Providencia Bed and Breakfast during your stay in Santiago. From the moment I reached out to Ignacio, the owner, on WhatsApp, he was professional, kind and fast to respond.
The room was cozy, clean and had cute decorations. They even provided me with a to-go breakfast for my early flight the next day.
Ignacio made sure I had safe transport to the hotel, suggesting trusted taxi companies from the airport. He was continually communicative with me about my flight time/ arrival at the hotel. He even waited for me outside when my flight was delayed and I arrived after dark.
The shower had great pressure and warm water, the WiFi was great and the hotel is quiet and calm. They also have A/C units in the rooms. Ignacio and the other staff are friendly and willing to help. They made me feel truly at home from the moment I arrived.
The location is great, close to many restaurants and the metro. I felt very safe in the neighborhood, even walking alone after dark.
Thank you Providencia Bed...
