Hostal Ventisqueros — Hotel in Punta Arenas

This hotel is well located, just round the corner from the main square and plenty of facilities including bars, restaurants and banks, and it's very close to the bus station. The hotel is nicely designed with maps and pictures on the walls and a little seating area by the dining room. The staff were very friendly and particularly attentive to our dietary needs, offering all sorts of sugar-free and vegetarian options at breakfast. Thanks for your efforts! They also provided breakfast in a box for us on our first morning, for an early excursion. |Our room was pleasant, although the only window was a skylight operated by a hook on a pole. The shower had brilliant flow and plenty of heat. Overall, we felt this was a good option for a short visit to Punta Arenas if you are out and about...

Hotel Ventisqueros is well located and well maintained. But what sets it apart is the kindness of the staff, especially the owner. ||My wife and I arrived at 9am at the Hostal. The owner looked at us, said "you're tired" (in espagnol), and offered us to seat and have breakfast on him as a courtesy. He then helped me with the "note" the parking collector posted on my car's windshield (I still have not figured out what the parking rules and payment options are), and later printed 6 pages for us at no charge. ||There is a parking place for 1 or 2 cars adjacent to the house.||The room (#3 downstair) has good WIFI connection. we stayed one night here on our way to Torres Del Paine with our two adult children and our LARGE amount of luggage - The hostal was just perfect - and the hosts could not have been nicer - on seeing I had a broken foot -- they offered my husband and I a ground floor room -- which was most certainly a welcome offer -- the beds were VERY comfortable en suite bath was perfect -- and a pizza place nearby was great for dinner (and my husband met a former colleague .....
