Hostal Ayelen — Hotel in Punta Arenas

The client service was awfull,||We booked two night at the front desk by 1pm, We also asked for a discount, because We're leaving before midnight the day after, but the girl said "I can't, maybe my boss could, however later around 11 pm the person who was at the reception said '' you must Pay know and there is no room for tomorrow''||He said "we made a mistake sorry"||( It seen to me a lie) just for keep in us one night there,||the response and the argument weren't clear enough.|| Even thouhg the welcome was quite warm, after few hours the front desk girl looked upset because I asked for towels, two cups of hot water and the wifi password. ||The room's cleaning wasn't good at all and too much smelly; sort of grease everywhere. The soundproofing was realy bad, although we have a deep sleep we hardly slept. The breakfast was really poor so we didn't get it.The...

By far the worst hostel I have ever experienced.

The rooms have a horrible moldy smell, and I began feeling sick after staying for 2 nights. The first night I began developing respiratory issues that subsided as soon as I left. The second night it became unbearable and I checked out the next morning.

In addition, they cater to traveling workers and not tourists, so everyone wakes up at 6:00 am and talk loudly and play music and their TV.

When I checked out the woman asked me if I was American, and then called me racist even though I hadn’t mentioned anything...

The dorm is situated in the backyard of a hotel. We had a 4 bed dorm and the room is just indecently tiny. Two people cannot be standing there at the same time, not to speak about your bags. It felt more like a train compartment. The bad sheets were not changed - they smelled and there was a hair on my pillow. You cannot open a window in the room, since it’s blocked by the bed. No towels, the bathroom door doesn’t close. You cannot pay by card. No common area, the kitchen was rather dirty. The person at the reception was really nice, but that doesn’t help...
