Hostal Katchi — Hotel in San Pedro de Atacama

Staff was very friendly and spoke Spanish slowly enough for us to understand well. We had changes of towels every day and even linen once during our 4 night stay. The room was oddly decorated with urethane, the isolation material used for doors and such. That didn't bother us however as it helped reduce noise from the kitchen. The wifi speed was OK until 7-8PM, at which point it was barely usable due to the low bandwidth being shared among the guests. This seemed normal for San Pedro. The kitchen has modern appliances and was a nice place to hang out or eat. The location is good, with an excellent view as you exit the compound. It is a 15-minute walk from most activities/restaurants. The room smelled quite a bit though. I thought it was my clothes at first, but we determined it was indeed the room after having all our clothes washed downtown. We confirmed it at our next room, which never smelled. Without the smell, our experience would have been a 5/5. Would still recommend...

The facility is good enough, and it’s very clean! He takes good care of the hostel and most of all he takes great care of his guests! He helps me with everything I needed including my issue with flight, tour booking, bicycle renting just to name a few. He is always patient, smiley and you would feel that he takes genuine care of you. It is a very basic facility with very reasonable cost. I stayed in some exclusive hotels at the beginning of my stay but I am happy that I found this hostal as it’s much more cost efficient and...

Minha estadia foi encantadora, com pequenos toques que fizeram toda a diferença. Desde o momento em que cheguei, fui acolhida com um atendimento atencioso e caloroso. Mesmo sem compartilhar o idioma, houve uma sincera tentativa de entender e atender cada detalhe das minhas necessidades. Que carinho!

A cozinha, simples e aconchegante, tinha tudo o que eu precisava — com uma geladeira grande e um fogão a gás. O quarto era confortável: cama macia, toalhas limpinhas, um ventilador suave, e um armário espaçoso onde pude me sentir tranquila.

Subir até a varanda foi como encontrar um segredo guardado para mim: uma vista deslumbrante do deserto com por do sol sempre rosado. Poder apreciar esse panorama tão especial foi um dos pontos altos da minha experiência no hostal.

Durante minha visita em novembro, encontrei noites quentinhas e dias frescos, acompanhados de um chuveiro de água quente que renovava meu espírito. A conexão Wi-Fi foi excelente, permitindo que eu compartilhasse cada momento dessa jornada mágica.
