So I will start by how lyer the owner is. Her name Is Cecilia and her mom I don’t really know her name. But I booked true the phone. I was coming from Bolivia and my buss driver said he knew a place for me to stay and I went to this place Lackuntur. When I was on the buss her doughter said the price was 27k after when I went to pay 2 days later her mom charged me more than what we talked, 35k. Isn’t about the money but about how they lie to get you as a costumer. First night I was waiting for the towel until 22:00 so then you see how unresponsive they are, next my shower didn’t work the water was cold and was a terrible experience since I was 3 due in Bolivia basically on the middle of nowhere and I needed a hot shower and the shower at the beginning didn’t get warm than after the water stop running. She said that was normal so I laughed because well not normal when you pay, 35 thousand Chileanas money. Well, next what Happens is that she put me on another room, than was fine water runs and everything. Every time I try to pay she wouldn’t be there or there is nobody on the office. Last day I over slept one hour for the checkout and so she called the police on me and the chilenesnnpolice abuses me ripping my bag of and so right now I am about to tame my actions with my Loyer to see how I will put a big process on that hostel for being abused by the police inside. And so I have all recorded, I will keep that info for me. Thank you. And I also have a witness. Guys it’s a terrible hostel, don’t go there. Rural hostel deal with imigrantes this hostel is a lie. Plus they say they are a hotel which they don’t offer any service as a hotel standards. I am traveling for 3 months things like that never happens to me. ||Where I marked it’s where ow as abused by the police and when he took my bag and throw out the room ripping my luggage I asked his name and he ran away. And didn’t want to say his name so I went after him and there was this guy from Chile, Javier watching all this scene happens and he said he would witness for me. Because he saw them running and not wanting to give me they cop name or info of what happened. The cop car number was 6602z I couldn’t take a picture because my phone died at the time. Unfortunately. Don’t go on this place it’s a...
Read moreThe good, the bad, and the ugly:|The good: communal patio is calm and fortunately people staying here seemed decent. |The bad: stayed in a private room, but there really is no privacy because it only looks into the courtyard and when the room heats up, you can either become an oven or you can ventilate but only by keeping the door open....not that it matters much as the door is no more a barrier than cardboard. In fact, a bigger problem to me is the total lack of safety or security. Don’t leave any valuables at all here. I doubt locals would break in, but if I were female here I’d worry more about other backpackers. The locks on the doors are useless when you can just push the door open anyway. |There’s more bad, for all of this, they charge 50% more than other hostels nearby (I in fact stayed here only 1 night and moved hostels—not only much nicer but also much cheaper). |The ugly: greeted (if you can call it that) but the woman who runs it with a shrug. She took her time to even check me in or give me a key. The place is itself totally dilapidated. Not that it’s run down...I think it was just built with such bad construction that it would inevitably fall...
Read moreAs hostels go, this one really stands out. It is immaculately clean – in fact, it’s the cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The communal bathrooms, the kitchen, and the dorms are all kept spotless, which is no small feat in a shared space. The staff deserve full credit for this; they are friendly, attentive, and clearly take pride in keeping the place in top condition.
For the most part, the atmosphere was wonderfully quiet and peaceful – perfect for resting after long days of travelling. The only downside was a handful of younger guests who seemed to think it was acceptable to watch TikTok videos at full volume, day and night, and even at 5am in the communal kitchen. I did end up having words with one of them, which is not what you want in such a relaxed setting.
If I could suggest one improvement, it would be for the hostel to set a clear guideline reminding guests to use headphones in shared spaces. That small step would make an already brilliant hostel close to perfect.
Overall though, this place is an absolute gem – spotless, well-run, and far quieter than most hostels I’ve come across. Highly...
