I originally booked one night through hostelworld on a shared dorm for 6, but ended up extending my stay for 6 more nights.||||The staff from Laskar hostal is absolutely one of the highlights! Paula and Duncan were just amazing, always helpful and cheerful!||||The atmosphere here is great and you can find people from all over the globe! There is a fully equipped kitchen, which is very helpful, and as long as the other guests keeps the cooking simple, there is room for everyone.||||There are only 2 bathrooms for the shared rooms, but despite sounding like too little they do the job, as there are may tours with different hours and people coming and going all the time you probably wont have problems (I didn't). ||||The hostel is a little walk from the center, but this is quite a small city, so don't even worry about it, in 5 minutes you are there, and noise is probably better because of this. ||||Dorms can get a little too warm during the nights, I guess this is the only downside, just make sure you bring some shorts.||||Great value for the money! Would definitely...
Read moreWe stayed at this hostel for 5 nights in a private double room. Our room was nice and clean and we had a private bathroom. The staff are very helpful and nice, especially Mauricio who helped us a lot with organizing tours. The tour company they work with, Andes travel is also super good, with fantastic tour guides. ||The inside common areas are quite small, outside they are nice and big, but it can be quite cold there in the winter (we were there in June). Downsides with this hostel is that the WiFi is very slow and unstable, and there’s no heating, so it’s quite cold in the night, but we had a lot of blankets so we slept fine. There’s also no breakfast, but the kitchen is well equipped and there’s free tee and...
Read moreBedbugs !!!!! Still full of bedbugs on April 27th. The management is fully aware of the situation but doesn't seem to really care. Peoples are reporting bedbugs for a few weeks now and they still rent the rooms as if it wasn't an issue. I had to leave after one night, full of bites. And they say that, of course, I had to pay for the night (even if I'll be forced to wash at high temperature all my clothes, and probably destroy some, to kill all these pests). I spoke to other guests who add the same problem in a different room, so it's a widespread problem. Avoid at all cost until they close the hotel long enough to properly eradicate...
