I stayed in this hotel (located in calle Concha Y Toro 13) in July/August of 2025 for a 7-day stay. What can I say? The staff was as welcoming as they come, everybody, from the owners (whom I'd just bumped into once at breakfast) from the receptionists (by name I only remember Manuella), were gracious, polite, helpful, and pleasent to talk to. The house is charming and cozy, it's quite vintage and it matches with the neighborhood (which's got a vintage look to it), but it didn't lack technology: the AC worked just fine, and the wifi too.
Breakfast was great, room service was great, and even the attention to detail on asking us what time we would leave for our tourist errands, so that they could hand us a pre-made breakfast kit to take, was great.
The neighborhood might be in the city's centre and it might get too empty at night, but the street is near the subway station, república. It's in the red line, which connects you to all the city's cool spots, and since it's a huge avenue, you can just walk it through, too.
We felt like we owed them the courtesy of publicly acknowledging our experience there because, frankly, everything regarding our accomodation in hotel boutique casa conde was second-to-none, and you could just tell that these are genuinely caring people who look out for their guests.
Lastly, if you know that the hotel is good but you fear its location, just know that if you're heading there at night, and you walk swiftly and without using your phones on the streets, nothing will happen. It didn't even come close to happening with us. Thank you folks from Hotel Boutique Casa Conde from making our trip all the...
Read moreExcellent small hotel. Attentive staff, comfortable rooms in an old building. Breakfast was basic but well executed, with breads, processed meats and cheese, fruit, tea/coffee/juice, and eggs. Staff were flexible on timing with my need to leave early to catch a bus to Argentina on my final day. Wifi fast and worked reliably. Room was clean and spacious, though could never figure out the space heater…seemed to be controlled centrally over wifi which was annoying, ended up unplugging it. Staff were heavily invested in making the property exceptional, responsive to needs. Santiago is not a safe city; an older gentleman, I believe the owner, proactively offered tips on getting about and things to watch for. My stay started the day after my birthday, and unbeknownst to me my partner had reached out to arrange a surprise…even though the property doesn’t have room service or a restaurant (aside from breakfast) they went to the trouble of bringing in fresh pastries and local wine, and hand delivering a card. My partner subsequently told me the hotel refused payment for this despite her trying to transfer it. A thoughtful gesture. Central location, a few minutes from the red metro line. The immediate area is not particularly dangerous, at least not more so than anywhere else in the city. Nice to see a small, family-run hotel offer a...
Read moreA great place to recommend and the best hospitality during my entire trip in South America. Warm welcome started already ahead of my trip when I got an e-mail from Manuela who asked about my arrival time and advised that I could check in already at 10 am. Once I arrived I was welcomed by Manuela and the owners: Alfredo and his wife Patricia. They are such warm and friendly people that made me feel like a part of their family. The room was spacious, well equipped, with attention to details: bottle of water, slippers, cosmetics. The building itself is a very nice architecture. Breakfast was amazing, warm bread, fruits, cheese, fantastic Casa Conde eggs made by Alfredo. Top class! Everbody was so welcoming, including the dog Romeo :-) It was difficult to leave this wonderful place where I felt safe and happy. I travelled solo, did many wine tours and each time I had a pick up for the tour, somebody escorted me to the car to make sure that I reached right place. Thank you very much to all of you (Patricia, Alfredo, Manuela and Flavia), I keep my great memories of you inside my heart....
