For the price, and our needs, excellent value. Good vibe, nice common spaces, friendly, helpful staff and clean, characterful property. Close to Museum of Memory and Human Rights (about 2km, so walkable for us), which is why we stayed there. But a bit away from other popular points of interest. (If you want to be close to those kind of places, then this hotel may not be for you.) Was only there overnight, so can't say much about the rest of the neighbourhood, but it looked interesting (and, I think, like it was being revitalized). The room was fine, some of the fixtures quite nice, but some of the work was a bit slapdash (like the vinyl tiles on the floor that were peeling up in places, not cut to fit corners or doors exactly and even missing under the bed (which we discovered when something rolled under there). The bed was a bit lumpy too, and the AC looked/felt like it was on it's last legs, although it did work. But the pros far outweighed the cons, so I still consider it an excellent value and, if I wanted to be in that general area, would definitely stay...
Read moreLove this hotel, with one exception; no table or dresser in the room. Yes, I’m used to small international hotels so it’s not a big deal. I’m single so it’s not a problem but ladies may want a bigger room. I just asked Daniel and he confirmed that they do have bigger rooms w furniture 👍
From the moment I got to the front door I was greeted by my name. The staff, Tanya and Daniel (I didn’t get the other name yet) are really friendly and welcoming. Tanya had to have spent 45 minutes helping me out with day trips and sightseeing. She called and booked three trips for me. Breakfast is included and is better than many I’ve had. In the evening 7:00 to 8:00 wine and cheese is served with salami in the lobby.
Easy to get an Uber to and from. Everyone says the taxis are overpriced. NOTE: Make sure you have WiFi in Santiago. Most places do have it but you do not want to be without WiFi! ...
Read moreThis place was stunning. The interior design was gorgeous. The staff were phenomenal, and they even made me a special dessert for my birthday and sang to me. Tiana was exceptional, and so was the lady preparing breakfast every morning (never got her name). The location is in a spot close to amazing things, but the area is a bit rough. There were people partying in the streets every night, and it was loud. This isn't the hotels fault, though, and some ear plugs helped. If you want quiet then stay in one of the side or back rooms and you'll be fine. I'd happily stay here again!!! Oh, and a very cute and delicious outdoor food...
