Our son and his wife booked us in for a cooking class at the beautiful La Petite Maison in Valparaiso. La Petite Maison is situated in quite street overlooking the colourful town, we were greeted by Boris and Jennifer on arrival and shown the guests bedrooms which were clean and welcoming, next time we go back we will definatly stay the night. We spent the day doing a Chilean cooking course with Boris this involved going to the fish market to purchase our fresh fish then onto the markets to get the fruit and vegetables. With us also was our other son and his his partner and also a friend so we had seven of us in our cooking class all I can say is this is a must do if you visit Valparaiso we now have many fond memories of our day. Boris is a great cook and showed us how to cook the food of the land he is a warm charismatic guy and we had so many laughs with him and created many memories for our family visiting Valparaiso and now we can also cook the Chilean food, fingers crossed for my Chilean dinner party now we are back home. It was great to sit around the table with Boris eating the delicious food and drinking the great wine which also gave us time to ask many questions about this wonderful town. We definitely recommend to stay at La Petite Maison and do the cooking course with Boris. We thank you Boris for our...
Read moreWe were the first to stay in the newly renovated rooms of La Petite Maison. Boris and Jennifer provided a wonderful warm welcome. ||It was easy to find the place at the top of Ascensor Artilleria. Its unique location meant that it was easy to walk down to the heart of town without having to stay downtown.||The rooms are tastefully decorated and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean with lovely new fittings. Our room had a view of the military museum across the road and from the little balcony we could see the Paseo 21 de Mayo market stalls and the port.||Breakfast was prepared by Boris each morning and was filling and tasty! The view from the dining area, through The Postal Cafe to the bay is stunning both day and night.||There are still two rooms incomplete at this time but once completed each will have amazing views over Valparaiso so I look forward to returning to stay in those rooms!||You will feel like you have really experienced Valparaiso in a special way if you...
