Delicias Express (Empanadas) — Local services in Valparaíso

Ok so I was expecting a variety of flavours, that's what it's famous for, but on the menu you will mainly find a combination of basic ingredients. Fair enough you can get quince, plum, shrimps, pineapple filling, but that's about how exciting it gets. I didn't take a star off for this one, because THEY ARE different fillings. Prices are between 1200-2000 per piece. I found them quite big. They were oily and lacked flavour, had much better empanadas elsewhere. This is a place to visit if you’re looking to try a different fried empanada. There is a dine-in option as there are a few stools and a counter, but this is limited. Or you can takeaway and there will be discount compared to the dine-in. There is a massive choice of fillings for the fried empanadas. Made to order and served piping hot! Really loved this experience -- the chef is super sweet and lovely. Tons of options and the empanadas come out super hot and fresh! They don't feel oily but do leave a solid oily stain so be careful with clothes. We got the goat cheese/tomato/basil, and the cheese/mango/pineapple and they were both awesome! For our three empanadas it cost 11,000....
