Ok room and space, but a big downside is short stay guests need to pay for amenities the lounge for access, and small things like slippers, dental kit nor toiletries are not provided.||||Normally I don’t go out of my way to write very lengthy reviews like this, but I have never in my life experienced the WORST service like Dash Living on Hollywood and the most disgusting and inexcusable attitude from staff; specifically from this so-called security lady (see photos attached) and the virtual assistant in late evening past 9pm on July 2. I was trying to find my fiancé in the building for over 30 minutes after he told me his phone was at 1%, so it’s obvious his phone would be out of battery. I figured he’s in the lounge, but short stay guests don’t have access unless you pay for the lounge pass, and there was no point in me paying for a day access when we were going to check out in the morning. I go to the lobby and ask the security lady for help, explaining my situation. She tells me he’s asleep on the couch in the lounge. I understand staff are not allowed to wake up guests, but I gave my full permission for her to do so, as we’re a couple and I’ve been looking for him, worried for his safety as he had a wrist injury that day as well. She makes a snarky accusation saying my fiancé is “probably drunk” when he doesn’t drink at all, clarified he was helping me move out and was tired. I asked her kindly the second time to help, but she snaps back at me saying “BUT you said he is tired! So let him sleep!”, rolled her eyes as she went back scrolling through Facebook videos on her phone. Mind you at this point I had NO means of communication with my fiancé.||||I also had my older brother visiting me that evening then after, asked for the third time to help wake my fiancé up. She got pissed, said “but I saw you with the assistant manager! So why didn’t you say or do anything then?”, told her that’s my sibling and what on earth made her think he’s a manager of the hotel. She rolled her eyes again and continued to scroll her phone or gossip with the virtual assistant, insisting to keep him sleeping on the uncomfortable lounge couch and waste the room we paid for.||||I can also hear them talking about me in Tagalog to the virtual assistant, even describing me as “kulit” (stubborn, annoying), and confronted her on this, as I am Filipino myself and told her I know everything she’s saying and can hear them mocking me.||||I asked once again to help wake him up. The security lady has the most grumpy look on her face, slams her phone down, stomping up the stairs to the elevator like a spoiled toddler. While the security lady was upstairs, the virtual assistant during this time was laughing at my situation, defending her security lady friend’s disrespect towards me.||||The security lady came back to the lobby with my fiancé. I ask her again what did I do to receive such a bad attitude from her when I’ve been asking nicely. She refused to take accountability.||replying “OK WELL HE IS THERE NOW, SO????”, then ignores me waiting for us to go away.||||My fiancé also confronted her later, but the security lady stayed silent and insists she’s justified in her disgusting attitude towards me, when I never treated her badly in the first place during our stay.||||Her poor attitude is shown on CCTV - would suggest management to review the late evening of Jul 2 in the lobby for evidence of this event as well.||||It’s truly appalling that THIS is the service and experience we received for how much we paid.||||Would also strongly suggest to Dash Living management to fire this security lady and the virtual assistant in this particular night shift ASAP - there’s clearly no benefit for keeping both of these people in their team and business in wasting money paying for people like them who not only make us Filipinos look bad, but refuse to actually do their job and being careless about people like my fiancé and his wellbeing; aka her abandoning the sole responsibility of her job...

We gave this place a try as my fiancé was in the process of moving out of HK after living there for many years, and we needed a place to stay temporarily as she was in the process of moving out of her apartment. While the location is quite convenient, room was somewhat clean (but can be a lot better) and I appreciated the option for the king sized bed as a pretty tall guy myself, it was appalling and disappointing to see how incredibly rude and disrespectful this security lady (pictured with this review) was to my fiancé when she was trying to locate me in the building when my phone ran out of battery, and I did not have a charging bank with me. ||||For the record, we do understand security is not allowed to wake up guests and they stated this at first to my fiancé. However, my fiancé already gave her permission for them to help wake me up as she was worried about me and trying to find me in the building, and she did not have access to the lounge. There was no point for her to pay for access to it either when we were already checking out in the morning the following day.||||The security lady in the lobby insisted to my fiancé many times that I was better off sleeping on the uncomfortable couch in their lounge that I barely fit on, rather than the big bed that we paid extra for. On top of this, my fiancé and I were exhausted after 2 straight days of moving and I even injured my wrist as a result, but even then the security lady was very rude and careless to my fiancé, still insisting I’m better off not in the bed and even had the audacity to lie and accuse me of being some drunk alcoholic to my fiancé (when I don’t even drink any alcohol), then tried to tell her that’s why I was passed out and tired from exhaustion on the lounge couch.||||Even when I came down to the lobby after my fiancé had to argue with the security to help wake me up, she continued to display even more attitude and disrespect to her right in front of me, saying “ok well he’s there now so????” and rolled her eyes right in front of both of us as she went back to scrolling on FB on her phone. It is appalling how she was trying to gaslight my fiancé trying to make her look like she’s overreacting when the security lady was evidently trying to go out of her way to keep us apart and having my injury worsen on a couch instead of the big bed and room we paid for.||||I would suggest to Dash Living Management to review their CCTV of their lobby of late evening July 2 of their Hollywood road location, so they can see for themselves how disrespectful that security lady was to my fiancé for no reason. ||||The unprofessionalism and poor attitude we received (but mostly towards my fiancé) is unbelievable… for all this while costing over 80 USD a night is a big joke.||||On top of this, my fiancé is Filipino herself and to see that Filipino security lady AND virtual assistant themselves be very vulgar and rude to someone in their own community just added to the disappointment, as the hospitality and care was clearly non-existent at that point.||||The security lady and the assistant during their July 2 late night shift should be let go from Dash, as it is evident they want to be paid to slack off instead of actually doing their jobs, which has been proven based on their displays of unprofessionalism, arrogance and utter disrespect to my fiancé which she NEVER deserved...

Overall a good stay. A bit struggle to reach hotel on the first day as it’s situated on the part of HK that is full of ups and downs the hill. I’d say that research on Bus No.26, it will save your life! (And legs) Nearby is a cool neighborhood. Very artistic, and hipster. 7-11 nearby in 150m. Bus stop in front only No.26. It will take you in a loop to Admiralty, Central, Wan chai and Causeway Bay. Pretty much cover most of the must-visit locals like foods, cafe and all. Room is good. Clean and spacious. Newly renovated. Equipped with modern ports and well thought of user-friendliness. Like usb-c charging port, Mi stick for Youtube & Netflix. Air condition works well to keep me sleep cozily under blanket. Hot water works good. it is renovated from an old building anyway. - The wall is quite thin you can hear the room next to you sneezing, putting cables charging their phone etc. may not be suitable for those who is awakened easily. The staff at Dash living is attentive. This is a good thing when you stay with a brand that promotes residence service and they are trained to assist, help and support professionally. Location - I spent quite big amount of time in traveling. I’d say it is quite remote and almost 30 mins to Causeway Bay by bus. U wouldn’t want to walk to MTR Sheung Wan as it wastes the energy of ur legs. On the checkin date, i found the room left opened like that but turns out everything was fine even tho I was worried about safety but it was just a mistake of housekeeping team or sth. Would be great if they can be put more caution to this. Overall, I had a good sleep here.

On top of this, my fiancé and I were exhausted after 2 straight days of moving and I even injured my wrist as a result, but even then the security lady was very rude and careless to my fiancé, still insisting I’m better off not in the bed and even had the audacity to lie and accuse me of being some drunk alcoholic to my fiancé (when I don’t even drink any alcohol), then tried to tell her that’s why I was passed out and tired from exhaustion on the lounge couch. Even when I came down to the lobby after my fiancé had to argue with the security to help wake me up, she continued to display even more attitude and disrespect to her right in front of me, saying “ok well he’s there now so????” and rolled her eyes right in front of both of us as she went back to scrolling on FB on her phone. It is appalling how she was trying to gaslight my fiancé trying to make her look like she’s overreacting when the security lady was evidently trying to go out of her way to keep us apart and having my injury worsen on a couch instead of the big bed and room we paid for. I would suggest to Dash Living Management to review their CCTV of their lobby of late evening July 2 of their Hollywood road location, so they can see for themselves how disrespectful that security lady was to my fiancé for no reason. The unprofessionalism and poor attitude we received (but mostly towards my fiancé) is unbelievable… for all this while costing over 80 USD a night is a big joke. On top of this, my fiancé is Filipino herself and to see that Filipino security lady AND virtual assistant themselves be very vulgar and rude to someone in their own community just added to the disappointment, as the hospitality and care was clearly non-existent at that point. The security lady and the assistant during their July 2 late night shift should be let go from Dash, as it is evident they want to be paid to slack off instead of actually doing their jobs, which has been proven based on their displays of unprofessionalism, arrogance and utter disrespect to my fiancé which she NEVER deserved to begin with.

Trending Stays Worth the Hype in Hong Kong

Find a cozy hotel nearby and make it a full experience.
