If you are sick of walking in the crowd and you want to find a tranquil alleyway to hang around, then Upper Lascar Row is a nice quiet place to visit In Central. This short alleyways have a number of stalls and stores selling antiques and vintage looking treasures.

If you are interested in shopping for antiques and Chinese treasures, then this is the place to go. Even you are not planning to purchase any antiques, you could just hang around in this small neighborhood and learn the backstory of Hong Kong.

A little Easter egg for you, there are some quaint cafes nearby, and the day market is only a few steps away from one of the oldest temples in Hong Kong,...

Upper Lascar Row – Quiet After 4 PM, Most Shops Closed 🕓🚶‍♂️🇭🇰

We arrived at Upper Lascar Row around 4 PM, and most shops were already closed. The street still had its retro charm and staircases, but it felt quiet and somewhat empty without open stalls and activity.

If you’re hoping to browse antiques or shop for souvenirs, it’s best to visit earlier in the day (late morning to early afternoon). After 4 PM, it’s more of a quiet stroll than a vibrant...

We came on Sunday afternoon and weren't crowded at all. Shops selling similar key chains, mobile phone accessories, and china. We walked into a shop with lots of antiques and found a piece of jade bracelet that we really liked. We didn't bargain as it was reasonably priced. Do note that most of these shops are owned by old folks who only accept cash payment. There are some noce cafes along the street that you can stop by after...
