L'étoile de Mer TST — Hotel in Hong Kong

Everything at this capsule hotel was excellent except the air conditioner. The AC in the male-priority room does not work. It's common to see guests fidget with the AC remote control. But no matter the setting, it's just warm air coming out. Some guests who complain to the manager were moved into the female-priority room where the AC works fine. But it's only if there's space in that room.If outdoor temperature is in the low to mid 20s, you can probably still feel comfortable with the USB fan the hotel provides in the capsule. But if gets warmer than that, you're going to bake in the capsule.On some nights, someone would leave the male-priority door open and use a large industrial fan to blow air from the common area into the room. This indeed works to cool the room. But some guests would close the door for privacy or noise.If the owner would just fix the AC, this would be the best dorm/capsule hotel...

This is nicest hostel in Tsim Sha Tsui that I can find. Stayed for 5 nights and each night it’s really depends on how stinky your roommates are. They have 3 bathrooms and it’s tiny, they also have Japanese toilet seat (with bidet) which is the main reason why I picked this hostel. But some is out of service. They provide a tiny towel in the bathroom, so wakeup early while the stock last. Overall is quite clean (that said, it depends on how hygienic your roommates are). AC is not working properly in the 8-bedroom room, some day it’s quite hot and humid. They don’t change the bedsheet even I stayed for 5 nights. It’s fine to me. They provide big locker and can use it with the hostel keycard they provided. Check-in and check-out is done by kiosk machine at the front...
