Hates Almost Everything (except location). The staff was so-so. I only saw front staff people. I don’t think they have anyone cleaning based on how everything looked. When I arrived garbage bags and dirty mop water was in the the area after you walk past the reception to get to your room. You have to walk over a little water and the little bridge they have is broken. They have some homemade secure clear tubing wrapped around one of the wooden planks. I was scared as heck it was going to break Corry time I walked over it. There are no elevators so don’t get this room if you have mobility issues. The stairs are metal with nothing to keep a foot from slipping under it so I would be scared for children, elderly, or drunk people to walk up those narrow metal insecure steps. The steps are a hazard. Also the floors were kind of damp a lot very slippery. The room smelled horrible. The bed sheets were stained. I always bring an extra blanket so I wrapped up in that. All of my towels were stained and looked dirty. The shower wasn’t clean. They didn’t have those wrapped up soaps and shampoos your normally get. It was like being at someone’s nasty house. They have soap in a dispenser container. Anyone can out anything in those so they need to throw that away. The staff never cleaned the rooms. I had to empty my own trash. They gave me a remotes that didn’t work. The receptionist are not there 24 hours also. They give you a key to access the outside of the door after 10 pm. This is weird as heck. I’ve never stayed anywhere in the world where the staff left. Lol. What a joke. They said that rhe receptionist leaves and goes to a hostel to stay so they could be reached by whatsapp. The last day I was there the power was off and they didn’t notify anyone by email or WhatsApp. I happened to be out that day and when I returned the room was dark, muggy, smelled more. The fridge...
Read moreWe stayed there for NYE. Entrance and stairway look good - nice level of detail with the plants, fishes, and the rooftop. Our room was pretty shabby though. Despite the fact that we had room in front of the street, which was loud as hell basically 24/7, the room was really basic. No place to put our backpacks (expect the floor), hard bed, and very used furniture. The room had a fridge that was moldy and leaked some water or something like that. Location is ok - takes about 5-10 min walk to the historic city center. Staff was friendly. Overall: certainly not again since rooms were not a place where we’d like to spend some time after long walks...
Read moreI want to thank the staff at Casa Mary for being so kind and understanding about my fear of cats. ||The hotel is beautiful and as everyone has mentioned the breakfast is wonderful.||I really liked the upper deck area. Bring some mosquito spray.||The location is the best location for seeing Getsemani because it's in the heart. Great fish restaurant a couple of doors down on the same side as the hotel. Family owned/run.||It'll be exciting to see what they will be building beside Casa Mary. Seems like they are building fast since construction starts first thing in the morning. Whomever they are, I hope they are as warm and friendly as the staff...
