If you are concerned about traveling during Covid and looking for a hotel that is flexible and understanding of any emergencies that come up during these times, THIS HOTEL IS NOT FOR YOU. A family member that was travelling with us tested positive for Covid 4 days before we were scheduled to arrive. THIS HOTEL REFUSED TO change the dates, claiming the rooms were “non-transferable” and “non-refundable” up to a week before our arrival. We were not asking the hotel to refund us, we were asking them to give us a credit for a future date. THEY REFUSED. That is just absurd, it is not as if we did not want to travel, this emergency happened. Many other hotels and airlines are providing a travel voucher for future travel BUT NOT THIS HOTEL. It’s bad enough that we were not able to go on this vacation due to a medical emergency, but the fact that this hotel was not willing to work with us just gave us an extra layer of stress. Read moreOur room was next to reception and we couldn’t open the curtains as everyone would be able to see in. There was no other window in the room which felt claustrophobic (particularly as the room was so small). The hotel is in a good location but the design of the building meant that it was very noisy at night even though our room didn’t back on to the road. The bed was also creaky and uncomfortable. To top it all off, the hotel charged me twice for my stay. When I emailed them initially they denied charging me twice. I then sent in bank statements and they admitted they charged me twice but said it would take at least a month to repay me due to a ‘legal process’…They never apologised or offered anything in return. I am still waiting for my refund.
Definitely avoid this hotel. All other hotels I stayed at in Colombia were great but this was is...
Read moreNice hotel with really spacious rooms right in the middle of Getsemani district. Thanks to the layout with the rooms toward the back of the building it is surprisingly quiet inside.
On the roof there is a small plunge pool and a hot tub.. Neither are hot as such but the sun does a decent job of that.
Breakfast is a pretty standard affair of fruit, breads and eggs. One of our bread rolls had sausage in, which you would have no way of knowing until you cut it open.. As vegetarians this isn't ideal but luckily we chopped it open not just bit in!
I decided to Dock a star as on 2 occasions I had to wait outside for a while while someone came back to open the gate into the hotel.. I think this should either be open or guests should have a key, it wasn't a long wait but it shouldn't...
