Hotel Casa Agustina — Hotel in Cartagena

Questions in booking messages were never answered by the hotel. I did several questions during the schedule and only answered me after I left the hotel.||||2. I had several problems with payment that weren't resolved (I was already tired of talking about it), and employee porter laughed in my face saying it was my problem that nothing would be done.||I was necessary to froze my credit card to the hotel to stop to try payments and block my money.||||3. I checked in on August 7 (~14:00 pm).||||When I received the room, I informed the receptionist about the stink (smell of mold and sewage), but none was done. He just informed me that there were no more rooms available.||||I left the hotel room because of the unbearable smell of sewage and mold. I asked several times to change to another room, but there was none available.||I spoke to the receptionist again and again about changing the room the next day. Just said that there might be a possibility of changing, but that it was not certain. I could not count on this uncertainty, but the smell was unbearable, and I could not sleep.||||I left the hotel/room at 5:30 and I went to the hotel Boutique La Artilleria||||I paid for 792,792 COP (US195.64) (08/07/2024-08/10/2024).||||I am waiting for the refund.||||Sincerely, I think the hotel's rate was made by familiars, friends, or bots for this hotel. My two star review isn’t for the staff. Staff was nice and accommodating. They did the best they could to accommodate us. ||Room: stayed in one of the largest room (201B) with balcony (street view) 2Bd 2Ba. I thought the kitchenette would have more things to assist in cooking. Like there was not a sharp knife to cut fruit. When asked for a sharper knife besides the butter knife that was in the room, I was given a larger knife but it was still dull…lol ||I stayed during rainy season and one of the nights it rained really hard and I was awaken by rain drops coming from the ceiling onto my face! Restroom is really small. If your petite it will work for you but if your over 5’6 feet tall…good luck. ||Breakfast: breakfast is a joke! The night before We were told breakfast will be delivered to our room. It never happened. They had us waiting in the lobby for 30 minutes and never told us that we had to go downstairs to the pizza place to get our breakfast. We almost missed our tour guide for the day. They used the Rain for the reason why breakfast wasn’t delivered. ||I would say do yourself a favor and walk down to the LaBrioche or Buena Vida to grab something to eat. We (my wife, daughter and I) stayed for one week in Casa Agustina in two rooms. It is a small hotel in an excellent location in the old walled town of Cartagena). We were treated very well. The staff were friendly, helpful and very efficient. The rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. The only negative was that the bathroom was rather small. I don’t know if this is the case with all rooms - the hotel is a character hotel in an older building. ||Overall I am more than happy to recommend...
