Excelente lugar, atención y servicio.. precios bajos y la mejor ubicación de la ciudad de Cartagena. Great place and near to everything...☺️☀️🇨🇴 Clean, cheaper and good atittud from staff you can use all utilittiees kitchen, BBQ, Jacuzzi, Pool till 10PM.🏊 The best thing about the hostel is the people, the staff is sensational and willing to help you with everything. From giving suggestions like advice on how to improve your stay or trips to nearby places.🗽🌅🥇 They recommend tours and make calls for you to clarify your next step to get to know the Atlantic coast... from there you can travel to Santa Marta, Tayrona and Guajira. They help you with prices. 🧭⚓🛥️⛵🛫 I recommend taking Uber which is cheaper than a taxi 🚗🚧🚕 On the downside, there is a curfew in the city of Cartagena from 12am to 5am..😴👎💂 that location 7th Av at noon is full of 😏💅👠👠💄thats means a lot of noise people. Children at night begging for food or money and their parents send them to do so. I think it's uncomfortable and outrageous. It is up to the tourist to support these activities or not. 😕😤😠😰😰 Cartagena has everything as a touristic city.. The risk is that you want to stay 😏🏖️🏊🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🇨🇴🏊🏊🏊🏊🏊

This hostel is very safe, there is someone at reception 24/7 and they need to buzz you in/out so no one can just walk in. We stayed in a dorm and also a private room. The dorms were good as long as you had earplugs. And the private rooms were GORGEOUS but you also need earplugs because they overlook the busy street that never sleeps and there's no escaping it. Breakfast was amazing. They changed one of the options everyday which was really fun to wake up to. Loved the clean pool and clean atmosphere. They do a really good job at keeping it tidy all day. The staff is SO HELPFUL and I recommend the 5 island VIP tour. You really get a better experience because of the "VIP" (bigger boat so you feel less waves, snacks on board, best spots on the islands for lunch)

The hostel is in a great location, but overall, it feels overrated. If you're looking to socialize with other travelers, this might not be the best choice. While the hostel team organizes activities, they don’t actively promote them, and the staff seems unmotivated. We joined the bar crawl they organized and paid 50,000 COP, but it wasn’t worth the price. It was poorly organized, and it almost felt like the hostel team just wanted an excuse to go out partying themselves. The common areas could also be cleaner, and it's clear that the hostel needs some maintenance.

The pictures are great, but everything else was really bad:|- Very, very, very loud music (imagine yourself in a club) which starts around noon, near the swimming pool (which is just outside the window, below your room)|- The music continues until 11 PM. If you friendly ask the staff to lower the volume, they agree but don't do it. |- The public space is adjacent to all rooms, where the other guests keep you awake until 5 AM. They don't listen if you politely ask them to lower their voices. The staff doesn't do anything either.|- The breakfast was one of the worst we had in Colombia: you have 2 options, but only 1 is available. So you get 3 pieces of pineapple, a slack piece of bread and some egg|- Towels and sheets with dirty stains|- Defective airconditioning in the room which means it's bloody hot||After the first night we went to the staff and explained everything mentioned, but they were not taking us seriously. We paid for 3 nights but left after the first and found a better and cheaper place for the remaining nights. Of course Republica did not give our money back (250.000 pesos/70 euro a night), but we didn't expect it considering their bad customer service.|But even if the rooms were cheaper, we would not recommend going here.||Maybe the hostel is fine if you are into sleeping in a club with prison-like breakfast, but as a couple trying to enjoy the final days of their holiday: stay FAR away from this place!||TLDR: waaaaay too expensive party hostel with dirty sheets/towels and...

Pros: Pool Location Somewhat pretty

Cons: Staff weren’t bothered, seemed to prefer socialising with one another, wasn’t a welcoming vibe. Swung between fake niceties and a can’t be bothered attitude My partners watch was stolen whilst at the pool (she turned her back to her belongings for two seconds in the empty pool). Staff were unconcerned and completely unhelpful. Unclean environment, showers were disgusting. Lots of standing water everywhere which means a lot of mosquitos. The basic dorm is VERY cramped and made us feel claustrophobic. No room to put belongings anywhere, the “lockers” were tiny which meant rucksacks were put anywhere they could fit - no room to move in the dorm. Kitchens were only open 10am-10pm, which means if you want breakfast at a normal time, you have to pay for the hostels breakfast which is overpriced and not worth it. The fridge is SO small. You will have to stuff items in there and try to not let other things fall out. Buy another fridge! The music is on very loud until 11pm despite the fact there is minimal socialising going on, instead it seems to be a party for the staff?? (Think full on bass blaring through the speakers) so don’t expect to be able to rest unless you’re a night owl.

Overall, wouldn’t recommend, spend your...
