CANCHA RESTAURANTE CEVICHES SUSHI — Restaurant in Cartagena

Food is average. We had the mango ceviche(u$8) too much lime, camarón burger which patty was very small and greasy (u$9), and our daughter the kids meal of lomo (u$7) which was very dry and tough and fries. The service by Camilo (our server) was good until we spilled the drinks we ordered: mocktail Tamarindo, Maracuya, and Lemonade with freshly squeezed lemon. Unfortunately, they server never bothered to tell us the drinks were not being remade until we asked. My wife wanted to really try the Maracuya mocktail so we ordered again. To our surprise, they charged us for the drinks we never ordered and added automatically a gratuity! We asked to take it off from the check, because the tables are flimsy and tilt if you put some weight on one side. They refused, and stated that it is by owners rules. As a restaurant owner myself, I would NEVER impose such rule. God forbid if your child drops a plate, they would charge you and leave your child hungry. We had a very bad experience here! There was a large group...that where cursing...and being very loud! We told the Waiter and waitress they didn't do anything to correct the problem...APPARENTLY if you are a large crowd and spend a lot of money they don't really care about anything else....so....WE asked to be moved to another table...the new table was very hot next to the kitchen....and had to ask ..the waiter to turn on the air...later ...we placed an order and they forgot about it so we had to wait 40 min for it to come out!! ..the ceviche was ok...I've had better...the croquetas de pescado ( fish croquettes) where pretty good ! And the empanada de carne...Sushi was ok...I've had better! Very few selection of sushi. I WOULDN'T return here! The whole is experience was terrible...the waiters and waitress where slow and didn't try to fix the problem... waste of 2 hours of our vacation..don't waste your time! Very unhappy 🙁 with the whole...

I was recently looking for some good ceviche in Cartagena. I decided to try Cancha Restaurante Ceviche Sushi in the Walled City. I sat at the bar area which overlooks the kitchen. You can enjoy some drinks, while watching the chefs create their masterpieces. And, they also have live music at 7 o’clock which creates a very relaxing ambience. The service is prompt and attentive.

I have enjoyed ceviche in many many places in Mexico, Central America and South America. Without a doubt, the ceviche at this restaurant is probably THE BEST I’VE EVER HAD!!!! The chefs take great pride in preparing the dishes, and it shows in the end result. The sushi and other Peruvian dishes are also extremely good. They all awaken one’s taste buds!

If you want top-notch ceviche and sushi, this restaurant is an excellent choice. You’ll not be...
