First of all you cannot access this place by car or walking. You have to park in the City and walk to a dock and they boat you over. When we arrived our glamping site jacuzzi did not work and needed fixing. Our dinner took over two hours to get to us. And the Wifi did not work. That was day one. Day two breakfast was on time and not bad. The only thing that went right. The electricity was shutting off then coming on over and over. The staff said the power company was shutting down service in areas to meter usage. But as it started to get dark we were able to see everyone had electricity but us. Then the water quit working as well. They said they had another hotel for us on the mainland so we packed and went to the boat. But then they said we could not leave and were refusing to take us back. After yelling at the boat operator he finally started the boat and to our surprise the police ordered us back to the dock. Yes that is right they called the police on us. When back at the dock the police reviewed are contract showing we had pre-paid for our stay through Expedia and said we could go. The manager tried to have us sign a paper saying we would not ask for our money back and we refused. Place looks good in the photos but has a lot of problems with essential services. Also they never refunded us which is another thing entirely. Really poor management and ownership. Stay Away From This Place. They...
Read moreThe cabins at this place are extremely well thought out with lots of attention to detail- we loved the jacuzzi (careful it heats up quick!), mesh mat, and all the details like curtains for privacy, chairs that get lots of sun, rain shower head with skylight that’s got an outdoor feel. It’s also super close to town- a literal puddle jump over the lake that they ferry you back and forth. One of the best values in Guatape if you want to have the luxurious glamping experience AND be able to visit town super easily.
Staff and management were extremely helpful and friendly to boot. 10/10...
Read moreGlamping the Mountain is a very nice and relaxing place. Rooms are well appointed, air condition, surprisingly comfortable bed and very relaxing hot tub. It’s close enough to the town that we checked in and went back to town for dinner and drinks. The included breakfast was very good and delivered to our room at the time that we specified. Our host Jefferson was very attentive and knowledgeable, answering our questions and providing great options of what to do in Guatapé. I highly recommend and...
